Survivor 47 is winding down and we are very close to the two-night season finale. But first, the final seven players must battle for a spot in the final six.
Andy Rueda, Caroline Vidmar, Rachel Lamont, Sam Phalen, Sue Smey, and Teeny Chirichillo made the final seven.
Kyle Oswald was voted out during Episode 11, making him the fourth member of the Survivor 47 jury. He will now help decide the Sole Survivor for Season 47.
The first four jury members are Sierra Wright, Sol Yi, Gabe Ortis, and Kyle. The quartet will get more roommates at Ponderosa before voting on a winner.
Sierra was dubbed the Queen of Ponderosa this season, and she has been sending the remaining players some looks from the jury side.
Sierra and Sol owned the night when they entered Tribal Council together. Will the addition of Kyle make the group even more imposing?

The Survivor 47 season finale will be different than in previous seasons. For most of the reality TV show’s run, the finale has been a three-hour special over one night. This year, the show made the finale supersized at four hours. However, it will instead play out over two nights, spread a week apart.
Here is when fans can expect to see the upcoming Survivor finale.
Survivor 47 Finale To Play Out Over Two Nights
The Survivor 47 season finale will be two nights instead of one. It will be a pair of two-hour episodes instead of one single three-hour episode. The episodes will also be a week apart. This means fans will have to wait a full week to see the conclusion of the finale and who wins this season.

It’s our annual Thanksgiving Survivor episode, and I’m more thankful for Survivor this year than I have been recently. Season 47 has been a mostly strong season, though it’s had its share of downs as well. But let’s keep things positive here, shall we? And this week’s episode was yet another highlight. Survivor 47 delivered another solid episode, and we certainly feel primed for a strong finish.

Kyle is in a funk after sending Gabe to the jury. He knew he had to do it, but Gabe was still a friend on the island. But I love to see Kyle focused on the game over the friendship.
On the other hand, though, Sue was the only one left out of the Gabe plan.

A new Survivor 47 deleted scene was released after Episode 10. This additional footage shows Caroline Vidmar breaking down after the Reward Challenge.
Despite Survivor episodes being 90 minutes long (now), many scenes are still getting cut from the final product. The Survivor producers might have enough extra footage to do two-hour episodes in the future.
Early on Survivor 47, Episode 10, the final nine players competed in another Reward Challenge. Andy Rueda, Caroline Vidmar, Gabe Ortis, Kyle Ostwald, Rachel Lamont, Sam Phalen, Sue Smey, and Teeny Chirichillo made the final nine.
At the Reward Challenge, Jeff had the players split into three teams with three players each. Genevieve, Sue, and Teeny played as one team. Andy, Caroline, and Gabe made up the second team. Kyle, Rachel, and Sam competed as the final trio.

What is Survivor without Jeff Probst? Fans have long wondered about this question and how impactful the host has been for the competitive reality show. Not only that but in the past his action-packed stunts in Survivor were also being compared to Tom Cruise. The Mission: Impossible actor is known as one of the most influential action heroes of Hollywood.

[Warning: The following contains Major spoilers for Survivor Season 47 Episode 10.] Jeff Probst knows he represents “authority” in Survivor. That comes with being the host and showrunner of the long-running series. In his 47 seasons as host, he’s learned how to roll with the punches when contestants express disappointment, anger, the works after the seasons air, often because they don’t feel their scenes that made it into the final edit provide a fair picture of how they played the game. Still, Probst admits he’s had his “feelings hurt” when he sees players “talking trash” about him during and after the seasons air. He opened up about this in the November 20 episode of the On Fire podcast, the official Survivor aftershow. This topic came up when Probst and cohosts Charlie Davis and Jay Wolff discussed Teeny and Genevieve’s long, hard talk on the beach in Season 47 Episode 10 right after Sol’s blindside in the previous episode’s tribal council.

In this week’s “Survivor 47” deleted scene from Episode 10, Caroline Vidmar talks about her mental breakdown after losing the reward challenge. The 90-second clip takes place on day 17, and reveals what the six castaways at the Beka beach were up to while Rachel Lamont, Sam Phalen, and Kyle Ostwald were enjoying their reward meal at the Survivor Sanctuary. Click here to watch the video at CBS.com.
“We lost the reward challenge today, and I now understand why they give out rice around this time,” Caroline narrates for the audience. “This was a really hard loss because, as the person who’s gone on the least amount of rewards and have had the longest time without food, I have the most empty tank right now, and I feel it.”
The 27-year-old strategy consultant from Chicago, Ill. continues on, “It’s an effort to do the most basic things, even just standing up.

Survivor, what are you doing, bro? Their should not be a “rice negotiation episode.” The few times throughout 1-39 where tribes would negotiate were fun and exciting because it was uncommon, the players were taking the game into their own hands. Now the show does it at the same time every season. It’s dumb. And sure, this time it succeeded, but once again, it was in spite of itself.
That being said, though, it was otherwise a strong episode. The rice negotiation was admittedly a very small part of the episode, but it still speaks to some of the larger production issues at hand. But once again the cast and their gameplay made this one a hit.

On Wednesday’s 10th episode of “Survivor 47,” the four remaining Tuku players enjoyed the thought of potentially making it to the final eight together — a future reality that could give them enough power in the game to make it all the way to the end together. But on the flip side, the other players saw that possibility as too big of a threat to let sit through another vote and rejected the thought of voting out someone more strategic to instead take a shot at the one player holding Tuku together — Gabe Ortis. Read on for his “Survivor 47” exit interview from the end of the episode.

Hey, "Survivor" fans. Tonight, November 20, 2024, another new episode of Survivor's current season 47 did indeed hit the air, and another unlucky contestant did indeed get voted off at the end. Tonight's new episode kicked off with talk about the last tribal council meeting, which sent Sol packing for the jury with a major blindside. Teeny told the private cams, "I'm pissed off about being blindsided by the vote. I was completely in the dark." Genevieve told the private cams, "I knew there would be fallout from the Sol vote, but I didn't expect Teeny to take it so hard." At one point, Andy told Kyle he would like to work with him. After all of that, host Jeff Probst showed up with the new reward challenge. They split them up into three teams of three. The teams were: Genevieve, Sue and Teeny in yellow. Andy, Caroline and Gabe in red,...

This season, Survivor 47 is getting a supersized ending. Rather than getting the one-night, three-hour season finale we are used to, the show will have a four-hour finale stretching over two weeks. This will make the finale a two-part special, and fans will have to wait an extra week to see who wins it all.
Here is what you need to know about the upcoming two-part season finale.
Survivor 47 Having Two-Night Season Finale
Survivor 47 has made a few changes to its schedule over the years. Since Season 45, it has extended most of its episodes from 60 minutes to 90 minutes a night. It has stayed there mostly. There are a few times the show will go two hours. Now, it is extending its season finale.
YouTube/SurvivoronCBS
The finale has always been a special three-hour episode. However, with more in-season shows going two hours, that isn’t really that big of a deal anymore.

Survivor 47, Episode 9, featured a moment where two castaways wanted host Jeff Probst to intervene during a challenge.
The final 10 castaways were split into pairs and forced to compete in an obstacle course as partners. The two teams that made it to the end (final four players) then competed for Immunity.
Part of the challenge involved digging in the sand for a board buried in a bag. The pairs were tasked with digging out the bag.
Sam Phalen and Andy Rueda competed as a duo and dug just enough to reach the bag. They grabbed the bag and tried to force it out of the sand.
As they were pulling, the bag ripped, sending the duo sprawling with a large piece of the bag in hand. “Our piece is out of the bag,” Sam stated as he called for Jeff.
“Yep. That’s on you all,” Jeff responded as the duo...

The Survivor 47 season finale might differ from previous installments as recent online chatter points toward a two-night event.
Survivor fans have grown accustomed to three-hour finale nights. The first two hours have been used to wrap up the season, with the third hour serving as a reunion or party.
CBS may have a surprise in store for Survivor fans this winter. At least, that’s the feeling on social media and a site that posts schedules for most television shows.
If the rumors are correct, the Survivor 47 season will end with consecutive two-hour episodes to close out the season. That would be a huge change for the reality competition show.
The 90-minute episodes have allowed producers to show more gameplay, even as the seasons have been shorter (26 days instead of 39 days).
So, how could those final nights be split up? Let’s take a look at the information online.

A Survivor deleted scene has been revealed that shows Sue Smey and Genevieve Mushaluk undertaking a mission on Day 16 of the new season.
The final 10 castaways were paired off during the latest episode for a grueling Immunity and Reward Challenge. Sue and Genevieve were one of the teams.
Genevieve and Sue finished in third place. The first two eliminated teams were sent on a Journey, and the best two teams were rewarded with a feast.
The ladies returned to camp as the other teams went to different locations. That’s where a bonus scene of Survivor 47 takes place.
As a reminder, Genevieve created a plan to blindside Sol Yi at the latest Tribal Council. It worked, and Sol became the second member of the jury.
Taking their eyes off Kyle Ostwald, who has been very good at challenges, may have been a mistake. Stay tuned to find out how that ends.

During the latest episode, another Survivor 47 blindside occurred. Sol Yi was voted out (nearly unanimously) and sent to the jury.
A chaotic Tribal Council led to Sol’s demise in the game, but it was set in motion much earlier in the episode. Genevieve Mushaluk had the idea.
But was getting Sol out even the best game move? Kyle Ostwald finally lost an Individual Immunity Challenge, so the other players had a chance to get him out.
Sol sensed something was going wrong as many discussions broke out during the fateful Tribal Council, but he reacted too late to the side chatter.
Now Sol will help decide the Survivor 47 winner. He joins Sierra Wright on the jury side of the Tribal Council. Will he be as grumpy on the jury as Sierra seemed to be?

Once again, Survivor succeeds in spite of itself. The episode spent (wasted?) so much time on a long challenge, and a journey – a journey with a hilariously bad challenge. And it was all at the expense of lots of last minute scrambling and strategizing before the vote. Sometimes it’s as simple as the show getting out of its own way and letting the players cook. The obsession with lost votes and the journey and other nonsense keeps getting in the way. Still a decent episode overall, but could have been much better.

On Wednesday’s ninth episode of “Survivor 47,” a multi-layered challenge split the remaining 10 players up into a pack of four reward winners on picnic, a set of four losers on a journey competing to earn their vote back, and two middle-finishers alone back at camp. The time apart in smaller groups set in motion a whirlwind of plans for the next tribal council vote and culminated in a chaotic “live tribal” right up until Jeff Probst called for a vote. In the end, Solomon “Sol” Yi became a consensus vote he had no idea was put into motion by his own ally. Read on for his “Survivor 47” exit interview from the end of the episode.

On Wednesday’s eighth episode of “Survivor 47,” the assumption made at the last tribal council that the original Tuku players would be easily picked off by the former Gata and Lavo members in a new alliance did not play out as everyone imagined it would. Instead, Lavo positioned themselves in the middle of Tuku and Gata and helped turn the game on its head in yet another blindside, pulling one of the Gata players to turn on their own and help vote out Sierra Wright in a blindside she never saw coming. Read on for her “Survivor 47” exit interview from the end of the episode.
“You know, I couldn’t tell you what happened,” Sierra said soon after being voted out in near unanimous fashion. “I’m completely blindsided.” Contributing to Sierra’s shock was the fact that she thought Andy Rueda was a player she and her closest ally...

Survivor can’t help itself. Production knows what the fans want, and they are so resistant to giving us those things. They came back our way this season by (kind of mostly) getting rid of the “earn the merge.” But then they still had the split Tribal twist, but only worse. Two seasons ago, they brought back the auction, but — shocker — made it worse. Enter Survivor 47.
The Survivor auction is back, but they didn’t get rid of the awful lost vote twist. They added something to it, which helped. But the main thing is losing your vote for having the most money left is just plain stupid. Maybe in the next two season cycle, they’ll finally realize what we’re asking for isn’t unreasonable. In fact, it might actually be good (it is good)!

Supernatural may have ruled screens with angels, demons, and endless Winchester drama, but not everyone was buying into its universe. And, as Eric Kripke himself admits, there was a reason why some fans dropped off along the way. His biggest oversight? Giving away too much.

Instead of letting viewers sink into the mystery, Supernatural kept filling in blanks that didn’t really need answers, leading die-hard fans to wonder: had the series lost its edge? For a show about the unknown, it’s ironic that giving away the secrets became its Achilles’ heel, fueling debate to this day.

‘The Graduates’ Review: Hannah Peterson’s Debut Is A Quiet Reflection On A School Shooting Aftermath
At the outset of Hannah Peterson’s elliptical film debut, “The Graduates,” the writer/director stages a scene that we’ve seen before. In it, a shy 12th grader, Genevieve (Mina Sundwall), is given a writing prompt by her English teacher. Her teacher tells her to write about who she “sincerely is as a person.” Mina doesn’t know how to begin, simply staring down at the paper.

Change can be difficult to process no matter how old we are. It can be especially paralyzing during our adolescence when we experience so many things for the first time. We change schools, part ways with our old friends, and try to find a new path. All these things change us in some ways. Hannah Peterson’s “The Graduates” explores the same overwhelming pressure through the eyes of high school students processing a similar sense of transition. Simultaneously, it presents them processing a recent tragedy and how their journeys have more in common than one may assume.
The script mainly follows Genevieve (Mina Sundwall), a young high-school student on her way to graduation. Her close friend, Ben (Alex R. Hibbert) suddenly returns from his school elsewhere, hoping to finish his course remotely before their college. He gets his old part-time job back and seems eager to gain something he has lost during his absence.

Survivor, you tricky Sob. After the celebration episode last week that did away with the abhorrent Mergatory twist, there was a renewed hope that the show had turned a corner and was maybe moving away from all the hackneyed, terrible twists and game innovations. In a typical season in the 40s, directly following the mergatory would be a split Tribal Council with the 12 players left in the game. Sadly, the show went back to that well, except they managed to make it worse? You can’t expect every episode in every season to be great. But this was an especially big bummer after the high of last week.
