- Stan grew up in the suburbs of Melbourne, Australia in project (commission) housing and later found himself living in a theatre for 20 years.
- Stan's real name is Stelios Georgiadis and he is the great grandson of Greek military legend John Polyxingis. Polyxingis, often referred to as The Chief Of The Revolutionaries, was later depicted in Nikos Kazantzakis novel, Freedom and Death (Kapetan Mixalis), about the epic battles between the Greeks and Turks over the island of Crete.
- Stan was listed 1st in "The Top 100 Indie Filmmakers In The World Part 1", a book released on Itunes in November 2014.
- Stan graduated from the Stella Adler Academy in Hollywood on a full scholarship.
- Stan moved to the US in 1994, won a green card through the Diversity Visa Program in the late 90s and became a US citizen 5 years later. Both Stan's parents were born in Greece, migrating to Australia in 1955. While maintaining his dual US/Australian citizenship, he is also very proud of his Greek heritage. He has an older sister, Helen, and an older brother from his fathers first marriage, Nick. Both are married and reside in Australia.
