Faidon Georgitsis studied at the Drama Schools of Karolos Koun, Hristos Vahliotis and Pellos Katselis. His screen debut was in Jules Dassin's Never on Sunday (1960) (followed next by their collaborations in Phaedra (1962) and Kravgi gynaikon (1978) too), as well as other memorable films of great directors such as Vasilis Georgiadis' The Red Lanterns (1963) and Blood on the Land (1965) (as well as a cameo in Gamos ala... ellinika (1964) too), Takis Kanellopoulos' Ouranos (1962) and Michael Cacoyannis' Eroika (1960). Among others, he had collaborated with Karolos Koun in his Art Theater and the National Theatre of Northern Greece. Besides his acting work, he had also directed films and several stage plays.
