Brennan Elliott stars with Nikki DeLoach in Hallmark Movies & Mysteries' The Gift of Peace.
It's a moving film featuring characters dealing with loss and grief during the holiday season.
Brennan was kind enough to share his thoughts with TV Fanatic about how Hallmark's growth is benefical for viewers and talent, what it was like digging inside of himself to accurately portray a character experiencing profound grief, and how he hopes the film touches people and provides comfort for those needing it most.
The Gift of Peace is so beautiful. Tell me how you got involved with it.
Yeah, there were a couple of scripts that came across my desk, and this was one that I read, and it scared me, to be perfectly honest. When I first read it, I thought, wow. It's a testament to Hallmark's diversifying content, going deeper on certain movies and not shying away from...

Reign, Season 2: Episode 1 – “The Plague”
Written by Laurie McCarthy
Directed by Fred Gerber
Airs Thursday nights at 9 on The CW
Welcome back to Reign, in which narrative burns quicker than the fires lighting the royal hall. This is one way to kick off a season. Many series opt for the easy re-introduction into the shows’ worlds and stories. “The Plague” has its “Previously on Reign…” segment and that’s that. Did you miss last season? Well, good luck catching up on all the gossip. Really, though, the pleasures of Reign don’t require a full comprehension of its history. The fun is all there to be had in the moment, and “The Plague” is anything but short on entertainment.
Last season left us with two major events to think about: the king is dead and the plague has returned. The consequences of both are addressed in “The Plague” in somewhat surprising ways.

Charisma Carpenter first came to our attention as Cordelia Chase, the popular, acid-tongued cheerleader who taunted the lovable misfits of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, all while dreaming of escaping her one-Starbucks town for something bigger. That shallow first impression of Cordelia didn’t last, as the character grew over seven seasons (four on spin-off series Angel).
Since her unforgettable run in the Whedonverse, Carpenter has made memorable recurring appearances on a variety of shows like Veronica Mars, Burn Notice and Greek. But her current gig on The Lying Game has her back on television as a series regular.
The Lying Game focuses on a pair of identical twins, Sutton and Emma, (both played by As the World Turns alum Alexandra Chando) who were separated at birth, only to find each other in the teen years. Searching for their birth mother requires unraveling a web of family secrets that gets more interesting when Carpenter’s character,...
