Linda Gillen works in movies, television and theatre. Her New York stage credits include the premiere productions of John Guare, Tina Howe, John Pielmeier and Richard Vetere. Other stage credits include: Reckless (Pittsburgh Public Theater) A Delicate Balance (Emelin Theatre) The Matchmaker (The Barter Theater) the original production of Museum (Los Angles Actors Theater) Making Book (American Theater of Actors) Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (Actors Studio) Kismet (Mill Mountain Playhouse) Once Upon A Mattress (The Hamptons Music Theater) Gypsy, Sound of Music, Peter Pan, West Side Story (Surflight Theater) as well as the improv group The Committee (Los Angeles).
She established Einstein's Bastards (a legitimate theater company) for the development of new plays and since its inception in 1997 she has produced, directed and developed over thirty new plays.
As a playwright her play Talking To Strangers was performed at The Theater For The New City in New York.
A lifetime member of the Actors Studio, she also produced, wrote and directed two short films.
As a member of the New School MFA Drama program she taught acting not only to actors but to directors and playwrights as well. She also taught at the Lee Strasberg Theater Institute / NYU Studio program.
Her acting teachers were Lee Strasberg, Stella Adler, Bobby Lewis and Peggy Feury.
