Alex Ginzo was born in Weehawken, New Jersey to Cuban refugee parents. When he was 5 the family moved to Miami. Alex graduated from Miami Sunset High School in 1989 and then later attended Valencia Community College's Film Program in Orlando, Florida. Ginzo has worked on several independent productions, episodic TV, and some documentaries. He worked on a series from the WB called "Safe Harbor" and television special for the Sci-Fi Channel called Curse of the Blair Witch (1999) (TV), Real Rob (2015). As well, He has worked on several features and short films such as Extreme Force (1999), A Measure of Faith (2009), and Robo-dog: Airborne (2015).
He also has worked on national commercials such as Bank One Platinum Card, Twister: The Ride for Universal Studios Florida, Eagle One Auto Cleaning Products, Sprint PCS(Latin Market, Publix, Walmart, Nike Factory Store, Dick Sporting Goods, and Citgo.
He also keeps himself buy working reality shows such as Making the Band for MTV, The Cut for CBS. Doomsday Preppers, Dream Machines for Sci-Fi channel, TLC - Say Yes to the Dress: The Big Day and Extreme RV's for Travel Channel.
In June 2005, Ginzo took a teaching position at Full Sail University in Orlando within their film department teaching film production to future filmmakers. In 2011, Ginzo earned a bachelor's degree in Full Sail University's Entertainment Business Program.He earned his way to being a course director in the Digital Cinematography Bachelors Degree program where he is still today.
