Jean Glaudé(I)

After his honorable discharge from the United States Marine Corps (including a tour of duty in Vietnam) and then returning to civilian life as a musician in the Bay Area of Northern California, Jean decided it was time for a change and segued seamlessly into acting. Jean made his acting debut in the stage play Wait Until Dark with Actors Repertory Theater in San Jose, California, in 1974. Jean also filmed his first television commercial in that same year. He has appeared in over 50 film, television, industrial, commercial, music video, and theatre productions. During his 40-plus years as an actor, Jean has worked on projects with Clint Eastwood, Cameron Mitchell, Russell Johnson, and many more.
Jean studied with many well-regarded acting teachers/coaches throughout the years, including Estelle Harman, Cliff Osmond, Virginia Capers (all three now deceased), and recently with Steve Eastin, Tom Irwin, Mark Teschner, Joseph Pearlman, and Rob Brownstein, among others. He has been active as an actor, regardless of the medium, every decade since he began.
In 1981, Jean starred in Kill Squad, a movie that became a cult favorite and was re-released on Blu-ray to the delight of international fans on December 20, 2019 (just in time for Christmas). Also in 2019, Jean made a network television appearance on the CBS television series Seal Team, starring David Boreanaz and Max Theriot. In 2021, Jean acted opposite Paul Rudd and Lisa Rinna in two episodes of the eight-episode streaming series The Shrink Next Door on Apple +. In 2023, he acted in an episode of How I Met Your Father for Hulu.
His theatre credits highlight playing significant roles in a mix of many well-known and new premiering plays. Among others, Theo in Lonne Elder III's, Ceremonies In Dark Old Men, Teddy in Mark Medoff's, When You Comin' Back, Red Ryder?, Paul Carrington in Jeff Stetson's, To Find A Man, Samuel Hollis, Sr. in Gerry Daly's, Scotch and Milk, and the Duke of Venice in Shakespeare's, Othello. He last appeared on stage July 31, 2023, in Beyond The Barracks at the Geffen Playhouse, performing his original monologue, Blame It On Elvis.
