Matthew Grant Godbey is an award winning actor, writer and producer who has spent many years in the entertainment industry honing his skills as a filmmaker. He has appeared on numerous hit television shows including Criminal Minds (2005), Charmed (1998), and NCIS: Los Angeles (2009) (2010-2017) where he played Detective Dan Evans. Ever immersed in the craft of filmmaking, in 2017 Godbey and long time friend Herb Kimble formed CineFocus Productions in Los Angeles with a primary focus on great storytelling. They have produced dozens of successful projects to date. In 2018 Matthew joined Kimble and the team at UrbanflixTV (new streaming platform) as an Executive helping develop and manage network content. UrbanflixTV is a multi-cultural, diverse platform focused on inclusion. The site is set to launch in May 2020.

Matthew is also an extremely accomplished painter who has shown in galleries throughout Los Angeles (Bergamot Station's Track 16, The Brewery, etc...). His most recent opening was in New York at the Amsterdam Whitney Gallery. Matthew has continually received rave reviews and his dynamic style has even been compared by critics to the likes of Pablo Picasso. His paintings have been collected by an eclectic group of people including wealthy business tycoons, celebrities, directors, actors, and even a Baroness!

Matthew continues to act, write, produce and paint on a full-time basis. He is co-writing a comedy/drama series with his writing partner Herb Kimble. The groundbreaking new series Last Will and Testament is set to film In late 2020. As an actor Godbey most recently performed in the CBS series Criminal Minds and the comedy Heaux Phase.

photographs and the two did a 2002 opening in Santa Monica California
with all proceeds going to help the children of South Africa.

In 2008 Matthew&#39;s paintings were shown at the Los Angeles W Hotel to help raise money for the charity &quot;Planting Peace&quot; which helps the children of Haiti. Rainn Wilson from &quot;The Office&quot; was the guest speaker.
