UK-based genre specialist Devilworks has added five titles to its slate ahead of next month’s American Film Market.

Devilworks is attending the first Las Vegas-based AFM in-person, and will be based at the Palms Casino Resort Fantasy Tower.

Its new titles include An American Masquerade, an Australian road movie that sees two failed actors transport drugs across the American West. The film is directed and produced by Jasmine Jakupi and Addison Heath, and stars Dylan Heath, Yoji Yamada and Elissa Dowling.

Also from Australia is Tim Pine’s Spithood, in which a patient escapes a mental asylum and begins a killing spree.

Sinners: "From Ryan Coogler—director of “Black Panther” and “Creed”—and starring Michael B. Jordan comes a new vision of fear: “Sinners.”

Trying to leave their troubled lives behind, twin brothers (Jordan) return to their hometown to start again, only to discover that an even greater evil is waiting to welcome them back.

David Howard Thornton returns as Art the Clown in this Christmas-themed installment of the Terrifier franchise. The director shared a sneak peek behind the scenes to tease fans, promising a truly horrific cinematic experience.

The third installment in the Terrifier franchise, Terrifier 3, is set to hit theaters on October 25, 2024, and filming is currently underway for the slasher flick directed by Damien Leone. Known for its over-the-top gore and practical effects, the sequel is looking to up the ante even further as Leone continues to test the limits of acceptable taste. Terrifier fans will get their first look at the upcoming threequel by attending the return of Terrifier 2 in movie theaters.

It was previously announced that Terrifier 2 was coming back to theaters in November, and it was also teased that this would come with some special surprises, though nothing was yet confirmed. Bloody Disgusting, in partnership with Cineverse, has now announced that this new screening will include a special introduction from writer-director Damien Leone. Also revealed is that a never-before-seen Terrifier 3 teaser will debut alongside the film on the big screen.

Earlier this year, Kevin Smith purchased the movie theatre he used to go to in his youth, the Atlantic Moviehouse at 82 First Avenue in Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey, and turned it into Smodcastle Cinemas. Last month, Bill MacKay (@Barbarian_Pug on Twitter) tweeted out the idea of Smith hosting a Terrifier double feature at Smodcastle Cinemas, with director and cast Q&As… and Smith quickly turned that idea into a reality! There will indeed be a Terrifier and Terrifier 2 double feature at Smodcastle Cinemas on December 10th, starting at 7pm, and tickets are available at This Link. The unrated independent horror film Terrifier 2 (read our review Here) has raked in over 8 million at the box office since its initial release on October 6th and is now available to watch on the Screambox streaming service. The fans who have made the film such an unprecedented success have also been so vocal about their opinion that Terrifier 2 deserves Oscar nominations – for the special effects, for lead actor David Howard Thornton, for lead actress Lauren Lavera – that it was even reported on by the Daily Mail. Skull: The Mask and The Pandemic Anthology at Cff: "Brazil's Fantaspoa Fantastic Film Festival not only celebrates the boldest and best in weird world cinema, they also produce it! That's right, South America's biggest genre festival makes movies, too!

And a double-header of Fantaspoa Productions' latest will be celebrating their World Premieres at this weekend's digital edition of The Chattanooga Film Festival - happening Friday, May 22nd through Monday, May 25th. These films, as well as dozens of others, will be available to watch at any time while the festival is happening.

With the Summer season just flying by, the upcoming Flashback Weekend 2018 is now here, with festivities kicking off on Friday, August 3rd at the Crowne Plaza O’Hare, and the event will run through the afternoon of Sunday, August 5th. Pumpkins is new 80′s style horror from writer and director Maria Lee Metheringham, which has been selected to play at the Horror-on-Sea Film Festival on Sunday 21st January. I got chance to ask Maria a few questions about making the film, her influences and adapting to changes during the shoot.

What can we expect from the film Pumpkins?

I would describe Pumpkins as an Ambient/Atmospheric horror. It combines elements of 80′s style classic horror films rolled into one feature. It’s not meant to be a gore film but it is meant to be visually creepy, eerie and suspenseful. Hopefully you will experience the old school settings along with an atmospheric journey.

What was your inspiration for writing the film Pumpkins?

It started off as a short to be included in another 80s style horror feature film we were writing but we liked the story so much we turned...

Patrick Rea’s short film Howl of a Good Time starring Tamara Glynn, Leslie Easterbrook, and Renae Geerlings has been accepted and nominated as an official selection at HorrorHound Cincinnati Convention and Film Festival. The film has been nominated for "Best Short Film".

Patrick Rea’s new short film, Howl of a Good Time, is receiving major buzz after becoming an official selection at the HorrorHound Cincinnati Convention and Film Festival. Not only is the film due to make werewolves howl with delight, but it is also Tamara Glynn’s on-screen return after a 26 year absence from the camera.

Patrick Rea, of Nailbiter fame, has completed a horror short, titled "Howl of a Good Time." The film will debut at HorrorHound Cincinnati on March 21st. The film notably stars Tamara Glynn (Halloween 5) and Leslie Easterbrook. And recently, a trailer was released for the film. That clip can be found below. As well, "Howl of a Good Time" has been nominated for "Best Short Film." Winners of the Best Short category will be announced, shortly.
