Appeared in the 1977 Chicago premiere and 1978 New York remounting of Organic Theater's company-written play "Bleacher Bums," playing alongside Dennis Franz (as his wife), Joe Mantegna, Richard Fire, Roberta Custer, Ian Patrick Williams, Jack Wallace, Vincent Guastaferro, Mike Saad, Keith Szarabajka and Gary Houston.

(March 15, 1970) Her husband Stuart Gordon directed George Orwell's novel, "Animal Farm," at the Holy Covenant Church in Chicago as Organic Theater Company's premiere production in the city. Stuart was Organic's artistic director and co-founder, and Carolyn was co-artistic director and co-founder.

(June 21, 1974) She acted in Organic Theater Company's premiere of David Mamet's play, "Sexual Perversity in Chicago," in the Leo Lerner Theatre of the Uptown Center Hull House, 4520 North Beacon Street, in Chicago. Eric Loeb, Cordis Heard, Richard Fire, Dennis Franz, Roberta Custer and Warren Casey were in the cast.
