Archie Gottler
Composer and director, educated at City College of New York and Long Island Business College. He composed the Broadway stage score for "Broadway Brevities", and wrote songs for the Ziegfeld Follies, Winter Garden revues, and English films and musicals. During World War II he worked in the Signal Corps Film Training Program, as a consultant to the Special Services. He joined ASCAP in 1917, and his chief musical collaborators included Sidney Mitchell, Edgar Leslie, Con Conrad, Johnny Lange, George Meyer, and his son Jerome Gottler.
