Israel Lugo is a Puerto Rican actor and director. From the age of seven he worked as a child actor and entertainer in theater and television. After a break in his adolescence, he finished a bachelor's degree at the Drama Department of the University of Puerto Rico with additional training in physical theater and 'clown' technique. He ventured into cinema first as an actor and then as an international advertisement and music video director. He starred in the Puerto Rican film "El Clown" and "Silence of the wind". He directed his first feature film "Picando Alante" in 2019. Israel integrates several disciplines such as art, music, play writing, and theater as a starting point for the development of his work as an actor and director. He continues to develop alternative spaces and forms of presentation that reaffirm his social and artistic commitment. Israel Lugo is also interested in the development of cinema in Puerto Rico, which is why he proposes to foment and create an unique style of Puerto Rican cinema. His artistic evolution continues to this day.
