Has an undergraduate degree in history and political science from the University of Toronto. Has a masters degree in print journalism from the USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism where he graduated at the top of his class.

Picked as First Prize winner in Fade In Magazine's 2003 Screen Test competition by a panel of top agents, producers, casting agents and managers (out of over 800 entries worldwide).

He was awarded the 1989 Los Angeles Weekly Award for Outstanding Male Performance in a One Act for "Making Noise Quietly," at the Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles, California.

At one time, worked both as a print and broadcast journalist. His favorite posting was running a one-man bureau for an NBC-affiliate in Oregon.

Has lived and worked in Toronto, New York, London and Los Angeles.

Studied and graduated from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. Chris has also, over the years, trained with the-late Nikos Psacharopoulos, Jeannie Berlin, Deborah Hedwall and David Kagen. For the past decade, Chris has trained extensively with the Toronto-based acting coach/teacher David Rotenberg.

Worked with two-time Academy Award-winning director Ben Affleck and Academy Award winner Matt Damon and Manchester United football legend David Beckham on two Super Bowl LIX award-winning Stella Artois commercials in 2025. The cinematographer on the project was four-time Academy Award winner Robert Richardson.
