Welsh actor who grew up in Tanygrisiau near Blaenau Ffestiniog, North Wales, UK. Trained at Webber Douglas Academy, London. Best known for recent TV roles such as Berwyn/Fanny Ample in Lost Boys and Fairies (BBC/Duck Soup) and Huw Donald in Creisis (S4C/Boom Cymru), and for Wyn Roberts in Welsh-language feature Y Swn (S4C/Swnllyd). Other credits include Tess of the d'Urbervilles (BBC), Heidi (Piccadilly Pictures/CF1), Oed yr Addewid/ Do Not Go Gentle (S4C/Nant Films) as well as the lead role in Storms of August (S4C/Gaucho films). He also featured as William Morris in the Academy Award nominated Hedd Wyn (Best Foreign Language Film, 1993) and he won the BAFTA Cymru Award, Best Male Actor 2003 for his portrayal of Victorian villain Capten Trefor in long-running TV series Treflan (S4C/Al Fresco).
