Most roads in the city do not have pavements, and where pavements are available, the problem of encroachment remains unresolved.
A large number of foreign tourists who are used to walking long distances do not find Agra roads safe for walking.
"Not just rampaging vehicles, but dogs and stray animals are a huge nuisance," said a German tourist.
At least the Yamuna Kinara road along the river can have safe walking spaces from Taj Mahal to Water Works, "so that tourists can see all the grand Mughal monuments while walking in the evening or in the morning."
The pavement is already there, it needs to be cleared of encroachments by transport companies, and repaired at some points, said environmentalist Devashish Bhattacharya of the River Connect Campaign.

The comedic drama ‘Kanjoos Makhichoos,’ written and directed by Vipul Mehta, stars Kunal Kemmu, Shweta Tripathi, Piyush Mishra, Alka Amin, Rajiv Gupta, and the late Raju Srivastav. Vipul Mehta speaks about his Hindi Directorial debut with ‘Kanjoos Makhichoos’.
“My Gujarati film ‘Chaal Jeevi Laiye’ success gained me this chance at directing a Hindi film,” stated director Vipul Mehta. “By sheer coincidence, Mr. Anuj Sharma learned that my Guajrati movie “Chaal Jeevi Laiye” was well-liked and successful. He personally watched my Gujarati film in response and invited me to collaborate with him on a Hindi movie. I narrated to him the script of ‘Kanjoos Makhichoos’ which is an adaptation of the hugely popular Gujarati play ‘Swajan Re Juth Mat Bolo’. They seemed to like it, and after some discussion about just the specifics, they asked me to proceed. In conclusion, Mr. Anuj Sharma gave me my first break as a Hindi...

Actor Kunal Kemmu, who plays the titular role in the movie, looks similar to the character that he played in ‘Lootcase’ – another streaming movie. The makers chose to do a devotional number as a part of the film’s soundtrack because it goes beautifully with the story. The song ‘Namo Hari from the upcoming streaming film ‘Kanjoos Makhichoos was released on Thursday. ‘Namo Hari is a devotional track and features a heavy use of Indian instruments. The video of the song showcases the ghats of Benaras.
Talking about the song, singer Saaj Bhatt said, “Faith is entrenched in our culture and thus, we wanted a wholesome number. It is designed as a devotional song but it speaks to people across the board. Namo Hari is a track that’s most close to my heart. It’s a pure song and it has the ability to instantly resonate with anyone who hears it.

Ginny, Sunny and their not so funny misadventure of love sets you wondering within 10 minutes of the start: Why was this film made in the first case? The question plays in your mind on the loop all through the runtime that follows. By the end of it, you realise this was a couple of hours ill-spent.
Watch Ginny Weds Sunny official Trailer
https://youtu.be/WTJW2Ol1c0g
It's all very formula-bound and, like the tired remix of a past-expiry-date Mika song in the film, absolutely unnecessary.
Billed as rom-com with very little ‘rom' and almost no ‘com', Puneet Khanna's debut directorial effort runs low on entertainment quotient right from the start, doing gross disservice to a cast that impressively manages to rise above the unimaginative writing. You feel bad for Yami Gautam and Vikrant Massey, as well as the half dozen-odd prop actors who eagerly try living...

Milan Talkies movie review is here. Released today, the Tigmanshu Dhulia directorial stars Ali Fazal and introduces Shraddha Srinath along with Ashutosh Rana, Sanjay Mishra, Reecha Sinha and Sikandar Kher. Has Tigmanshu Dhulia created the magic again, let?s find it in Milan Talkies movie review.
Immediate reaction after watching Milan Talkies
Tigmanshu Dhulia?s love for vintage Bollywood and Allahabad will be forever. Is Milan Talkies the desi version/a tribute to Giuseppe Tornatore?s 1988 unforgettable masterpiece Cinema Paradiso in any way?!.
The Story of Milan Talkies
A single screen movie theatre in Allahabad, a local filmmaker Anu (Ali Fazal), his love affair with movies and his beloved Maithili (Shraddha Srinath), watched by an ageing projectionist Usman (Sanjai Mishra). Spanning three years, the movie juxtaposes the reality between reality and fiction. The change in times, the idea of romance and how cinema influences our lives and how life influences our cinema.

Fukrey Returns
Starring Richa Chadha, Pulkit Samrat, Ali Fazal, Manjot Singh,Varun Sharma
Directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba
There is a kind of quirky credibility in the way the characters of Fukrey have grown on us ever since they were seen in the first Fukrey film. It’s been nearly five years. But we haven’t forgotten Hunny, Choocha, Lali, Pandit and last but not the least, the woman who won’t be put on a leash, Bholi Punjaban.
Please note, I make no mention of Zafar, played by Ali Fazal, as his character remains strangely sketchy, unfinished, incomplete. He is a Fukrey on the look-out for a more fleshed-out platform of expression.
Strange, because the other principal players in this prickly parody of Capital consumerism are so vividly etched, we feel we know them inside-out. Fukrey Returns acquaints us with the bang-gang even better than the first Fukrey film.

Jolly LLB2
Starring Akshay Kumar, Sourabh Shukla, Annu Kapoor, Kumud Mishra, Hum Qureshi
Written & Directed by Subhash Kapoor
Rating: *** ½ (3 and a half stars)
Don’t get me wrong. I am a big Jolly fan. Whether played by Arshad Warsi or Akshay Kumar the small-town lawyer’s socio-political awakening is heartwarming, to say the least. While Jolly Llb 2 is suffused with a swarming all-pervasive social conscience that ribs our guilt-ridden middleclass values and elbows our cynicism and slothfulness out of our range of activity, it suffers from a sense of overweening ambition.
Everything here is much larger than Jolly Llb, the 2013 sleeper hit about a lazy lawyer played with judicious jocosity by Arshad Warsi who takes ona cause-celebre that turns him into a responsible citizen. Arshad’s Jolly made us cheer for his growth into conscientiousness.
Again this writer-director Subhash Kapoor has his heart and conscience in the right place.

Although I liked Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster moderately I felt it could have been better. In the sequel, Tigmanshu Dhulia fixes all that needed to be fixed the first time round and comes out with a cracker of a film which is bigger and better, much better.
Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster Returns starts where the prequel ended. Saheb/Aditya (Jimmy Sheirgill) is crippled but does not let his disability stop him from ruling his ‘praja’ with an iron hand. Biwi/Madhavi (Mahie Gill) is as alcoholic and brazen as ever, strongly resenting still being a pawn of Saheb’s despite becoming the Mla of her district. Enter the Gangster/Indrajit (Irrfan Khan) who is an ex-royal and dreams of earning back the lost glory which was snatched away a few generations ago by Saheb’s family. That Saheb has set his heart on marrying princess Ranjana (Soha Ali Khan), Indrajit’s lady love,...

Film: "Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster Returns"; Cast: Irrfan, Mahie Gill, Jimmy Sheirgill, Soha Ali Khan and Raj Babbar; Director: Tigmanshu Dhulia; Rating: **** - vivid, vibrant, savagely tragic with gutsy performances.
In what could be regarded as a sequence of subliminal comic relief, a little-known actor Rajeev Gupta gives this film, suffused in powerhouse performances, its best performance as a slimy politician caught watching porn on his laptop in his office by a goon masquerading as a journalist.
The sequence is hilarious and at the same time sobering. While the self-important buffoonish politician's predicament raises laughter,.
