Career
Whether in Turkey or in Europe, he has been an integral part of several theatre companies as an actor, director and artistic director. In 1987 (until 2006), he joined the troupe of the National Theatre of Istanbul (as a director and actor). In 1992, as an actor at the Theatre an der Ruhr in Mulheim, Germany, he took part in a tour throughout Germany and Turkey with F. G. Lorca's play "The House of Bernarda Alba" directed by Roberto Ciulli. In 1996, he created Tiyatro Oyunevi, an independent theatre company in Istanbul that has participated in numerous festivals in Turkey and throughout Europe (Germany, England, Austria, Sweden, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Holland, Bulgaria, etc.) with creations played and/or directed by himself. With this company, he also staged 'En attendant', a creation performed in several European countries as part of the 'Nord Seas/Black Seas' artistic project supported by the European Union. As a director or actor, he also collaborated with the Rast Theatre in Amsterdam in Holland for the creation of shows performed in Holland, Germany, and Turkey. In 2010, he staged 'Faust' by Goethe for the Schauspielhaus in Bochum in Germany, performed by actors from this company. Since 2008, he has maintained a close relationship with the Theater Centaure, a theatre company located in Marseille. He participated as an actor and producer in the creation of short films for this company (Flux: Bosphore and Istanbul) and as an actor in one of their latest shows (la 7e vague). On the other hand, for several years, he has acted in many films for cinema and television series in Turkey. He has also done dubbing in Turkish language for television and radio.
