Hollyoaks star Andrew Moss has admitted that he felt "really sad" when he heard that his screen family were to be written out of the soap. New Hollyoaks boss Paul Marquess has culled another 11 cast members as part of the Channel 4 soap's mass shakeup, Digital Spy can exclusively reveal. A month after his arrival, Marquess took his axe to Josh, Suzanne and Neville Ashworth - played by Sonny Flood, Suzanne Hall and Jim Millea respectively - and subsequently replaced three of the serial's leading producers in a bid to streamline the creative team. In the coming weeks and months, a further 11 characters will be phased out, bringing the current departure total to 16. The Ashworth family is being written out of 'Hollyoaks'. The Channel 4 soap's new producer Paul Marquess has reportedly decided not to renew the contracts of Sonny Flood, Suzanne Hall and Jim Millea - who play Josh Ashworth and his parents Suzanne and Neville - when their current agreements end. Marquess, who took over from Lucy Allan as the teen soap's showrunner last month, decided not to renew the contracts of three members of the Ashworth clan.
