Was the top gag writer for Hal Roach in the 1920's, as well as making significant contributions, as a scenarist, to Harold Lloyd and Buster Keaton comedies. Harbaugh had also previously worked as an actor at Biograph and continued to appear in small-part supporting roles until the mid-1950's.
