Trent Hanson was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. He graduated
from Cottonwood High School and attend the University of Utah on an art scholarship.
Trent got his first speaking role in, "Evil in Clear River" (1988). After that followed other roles in various TV movies, TV series and feature films. While living in Los Angeles he auditioned and was asked to return to Utah to participate as an actor in the Sundance Institute Film Makers Lab (1999). While at the lab he was inspired to take up screen writing.
Subsequently he optioned two screenplays to Sony Pictures, "Never Greener" (2000) and "Stumbling Forward" (2001). He also returned to the Sundance Institute Film Makers Lab in (2001), which he claims was an invaluable experience.
Trent is in development of several additional projects including a feature film, "In It, Not of It" and a TV series, "Multi-Level Magic", the later with long time friend and collaborator, Craig Curtis.
