An old school pal of Big Brother housemate Ben Duncan has claimed that the London journalist is not posh, despite his upper class accent.
David Harries, who attended Bearwood College with Ben, said that Ben wasn’t born with a silver spoon in his mouth. He actually comes from quite a humble background and lives within his means each month.
He told Heat magazine: “People say Ben’s rich and all the rest, but he’s so not. He gives an air of having money, but he’s the complete opposite.
“His parents are teachers, so he hasn’t come from a fabulous background. He doesn’t live in a mansion and go off on massively lavish holidays.
“He sounds posh because his dad was a teacher in overseas schools, so he was brought up around wealthy people.”
He added: “Ben dressed really well. He buys stuff from charity shops in rich areas.
