- In 1963, Hart left Hollywood for good and became a nun. She entered the strictly cloistered Benedictine Regina Laudis Monastery in Bethlehem, Connecticut, of which she is the Reverend Mother (or prioress).

- Although Forever Amber is listed in her filmography as Dolores Hart's first film, both she and Richard DeNeut have firmly insisted that she does not appear in it. Her father, Bert Hicks, however, is visible in the film, which could have led to the error.
