In the wake of Sunday night’s bloody episode of “Yellowstone,” director and executive producer Christina Alexandra Voros has revealed that the final three episodes of this season will lead to an ending — one that could be the final bow for the series.
“I think this last batch of episodes leads us to the end of an era,” she says. “It’s impossible to talk about it in any detail without tipping my hat towards things to come. But I think [co-creator and writer] Taylor [Sheridan] has managed to — and I’m really not sure how he’s done it, I think it’s sort of masterful — bring the ending to something that feels both shocking and fated at the same time. Spoiler Alert: This article includes details of Yellowstone‘s Season 5 episode “Three Fifty-Three.”
Sunday night’s Yellowstone episode belonged to Kayce Dutton (Luke Grimes), the youngest son of patriarch John. There is a shocker of a death at the conclusion of tonight’s episode, as Sarah Atwood (Dawn Olivieri) is gunned down. She has been the lover of Jamie Dutton (Wes Bentley), the Montana Ag and dark sheep adopted son of the Dutton clan. After coming to Texas at the behest of the Dutton clan’s arch enemy Market Equities, she seduced Jamie into embracing her suggestion that the best way to get John Dutton’s Montana ranch is to have him killed and make it look like an accident.

John Dutton's (Kevin Costner) death has been the big talking point of "Yellowstone" season 5 part 2, and the precise way the patriarch passes away has unfolded slowly. Cole Hauser and Kelly Reilly in ‘Yellowstone’ season 5 (Photo Credit: Paramount Network)
The action in Yellowstone season 5 episode 11 begins in the daylight hours before John Dutton’s murder. For fans wondering if we’d see exactly what happened to the Dutton family patriarch, episode 11, “Three Fifty-Three,” answers that question.
Of course, Beth (Kelly Reilly) loves being with Rip (Cole Hauser), but she knows that one year of visiting him in Texas will drive her crazy. She wants to send Lloyd to take Rip’s place, but he won’t let her. His duty is to the ranch, even though he’d obviously rather be with his gorgeous wife.
Back at the ranch, Kayce (Luke Grimes), Monica (Kelsey Asbille), and Tate (Brecken Merrell) get to work moving their belongings into their new home. They each take turns adjusting a drawing on the wall, with Kayce sneaking in a final tweak after Monica warns him not to.

[Warning: The following contains Major spoilers for Yellowstone Season 5 Episode 11, “Three Fifty-Three.”] Another Yellowstone major player was just taken to the train station. The purpose of the Texas and Montana flashbacks with their confusing timelines was revealed in Season 5 Part 2’s third episode, which aired Sunday, November 24 on Paramount Network. They were to show where Beth (Kelly Reilly), Rip (Cole Hauser), Kayce (Luke Grimes), and Monica (Kelsey Asbille) were when John Dutton (Kevin Costner) was killed. Beth was on a long overnight drive from Texas to Montana when she suspected something was suddenly very wrong. Kayce felt something similar, with a nightmare waking him up seconds before getting the call about his father’s death. Shockingly, John’s murder was actually shown, but creative staging made it so his body but not his face was seen. This confirmed without question that John’s death was a homicide, not a suicide, and Kayce helped prove that the investigation...

If Rip Wheeler was a book, he’d be one of those old leather-bound ones that sit quietly on a shelf, never begging for attention, but when you open it, it’s filled with pages of raw emotion and secrets. Much like a cowboy who never needs to say much but lets his actions do all the talking, Rip is a man who doesn’t wear his past like a badge. In fact, he’s got so many layers, that you’d need a shovel to dig them all out, but Rip is not in the business of volunteering his life story.

So who is Rip Wheeler? The simplest answer would be: he’s a fixer, a bruiser, and—quite possibly—the most underrated character in Yellowstone. The long-time ranch foreman for the Dutton family, Rip doesn’t just make sure...

[Warning: The following contains Major spoilers for Yellowstone Season 5 Part 2.] Yellowstone‘s biggest burning question has been left lingering since Season 3: When will Rip find out what Jamie did to Beth? There are only four episodes left in the series, so if it’s going to happen (and it should), it needs to happen soon. Beth (Kelly Reilly) revealed in Season 3 Episode 5, “Cowboys and Dreamers,” that Jamie (Wes Bentley) committed an appalling act of betrayal when she was pregnant with Rip’s (Cole Hauser) child as a teenager. She went to her big brother for help to get an abortion, and he repaid her trust with a forced sterilization. He took her to Indian Health Services for the procedure. The staff told Jamie that when performing abortions, they were also required to sterilize the patient (forced sterilization is still legal in the U.S. today). Jamie agreed to this without telling Beth, and she didn’t learn until later.

This article contains spoilers for "Yellowstone" season 5 part 2.
Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser are reportedly in talks to return for "Yellowstone" season 6, but nothing is set in stone yet regarding the future of Taylor Sheridan's hit neo-Western drama. Of course, it's also possible that the actors will star in something fresh, as "Yellowstone" season 5 part 2 is hinting at them leading the "6666" spin-off. Regardless of where the lovers Rip Wheeler (Hauser) and Beth Dutton (Reilly) end up, Reilly is interested in reprising her troubled character in some capacity -- and she has some ideas for storylines.
"I loved this season. There were some really different territories to explore, so I'm not clinging to her. I'm happy to put her back in her padlocked box," Reilly told Town & Country about playing Beth in a potential "Yellowstone" season 6. "I am definitely interested in Beth, and who she is after some things have happened.

After a long wait, Taylor Sheridan’s Western drama Yellowstone is finally back with the second half of its fifth season. The tenth episode of season 5 deals with the fallout from the major revelation in the previous episode while focusing on Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler. In the process, the episode also strongly hints at a spin-off series that has long been in development.
Yellowstone season 5 episode 10 hints at an upcoming spin-off series (Credit: Paramount Network).
The tenth episode sees Beth visit Rip at the Four Sixes Ranch in Texas, which has slowly become a mainstay of the series. However, the tenth episode seems like a backdoor pilot for an upcoming series based on the Texas ranch. If that is indeed the case, Taylor Sheridan seems to have forgotten the important message at the core of Yellowstone, and here is what it means for its future.

Daniel and Chozen were in for some major shocks in Cobra Kai’s latest batch of episodes, but they definitely didn’t expect this.
After following the man who abducted Daniel to a spa, they couldn’t believe their eyes amid the steamy air and roar of hot tub jets: Terry Silver was back. “What would life be without a few surprises?” Silver asked the speechless group of senseis, which also included Kim Da-Eun and John Kreese. And with that, the stakes of the Sekai Taikai were raised even higher, as Miyagi-Do (and Cobra Kai) scrambled to get ahead of Silver’s next moves.

Yellowstone viewers were divided after Sunday’s (November 17) episode aired a flashback scene featuring Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser) and Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly). The episode began with an unexpected flashback that took place at the 6666 Ranch in Texas before John Dutton (Kevin Costner) was found dead. Costner’s character was killed off in the opening moments of last week’s season premiere. After the opening moments, the episode then jumped forward to the present day, back to the Yellowstone Dutton Ranch in Montana after Dutton was killed. While many fans loved the scene between Beth and Rip and the focus on their relationship, they were also confused and frustrated by the jumping around in time. “These time jumps in Yellowstone this season are so f****** confusing. I don’t give a s*** about Texas,” wrote one X user. “So did anyone else notice that Rip and Beth managed to somehow...

After “Yellowstone” killed off its main character, Kevin Costner’s John Dutton, you knew there’d be hell to pay. Not just with fans, who cried foul at what the show had done to their beloved patriarch, but on the screen, where the Dutton clan suspected who’d killed their father and were starting to bring their chickens home to roost. In this week’s episode, titled “The Apocalypse of Change,” viewers got to see the beginning of that process, brawls, tears and all.
The episode opens a little confusingly, with the ranch hands down in Texas dealing with rattlesnakes in Teeter’s (Jenifer Landon) tent and a bat-out-of-hell-like Beth (Kelly Reilly) coming to whisk Rip (Cole Hauser) away. It’s not really clear what time period you’re in — is Rip back in Texas post-funeral? Is this still six weeks...

Yellowstone fans are not ready to admit that their beloved patriarch is dead and not coming back to fix things on the ranch.
At the end of Season 5A, Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) was finally happy(ish) and married to Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser), and the ranch problems saw the light at the end of the tunnel.
Kevin Costner left Yellowstone and his character, John Dutton, dead because of a supposed suicide, an act that left fans in an uproar.
Kevin Costner’s departure from Yellowstone has caused a ripple among fans of the show and the other cast and crew since he was a massive part of it, even the backbone.
Fans know and understand that John Dutton would never willingly leave his ranch or his children by an act of his own will and that if his character were dead, it was murder.

There are so many characters to hate on Yellowstone, especially now that John Dutton is dead and the series is entering Season 5b, as Kevin Costner has exited.
Fans on Reddit have been calling for one character to get “taken out” during this season on Yellowstone.
Jamie Dutton (Wes Bentley), is the main villain that fans think of when they think of who they want to be taken to the train station and never seen again.
When someone goes to the train station, they get killed, although the euphemism implies that they are given a ticket out of town at the next railway station.
Jamie has caused Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly, so much trouble in her life that he can never do anything in this lifetime to fix things, but he isn’t the one fans want killed so soon in Season 5b.

Yellowstone Season 5B is in full swing on Paramount Network as the series embraces uncharted territory without John Dutton (Kevin Costner) as the main attraction.
Given how Yellowstone airs on a cable network owned and operated by Paramount Global, it’s fair to assume that new episodes would be available after their linear debut on Paramount+.
Sadly, for those who caught up on the show during the hiatus, it’s becoming increasingly clear that the only way to stream new episodes is to purchase them individually from Amazon Prime or Apple.
Yellowstone premiered before Paramount+ existed, meaning that Paramount Global had already closed a deal with NBCUniversal for Peacock to carry past seasons of the show.
The news means that those episodes will be streaming only on Peacock.
Still, they won’t be added to the platform until each season ends, which isn’t ideal because Yellowstone is currently the biggest show on TV,...

Not many people would trust Taylor Sheridan with their characters since he’s known to sort of kill characters of stars he either has a falling out with or needs to exit the series. It happened to Kevin Costner’s John Dutton, now didn’t it? Happily, Kelly Reilly believes in the ‘Yellowstone’ creator’s vision for all the characters.

When Landman premieres on Paramount+ on Sunday, you’ll once again be thrust into a world that’s mostly unknown to the general American public.
Taylor Sheridan’s work does that often, so adapting Christian Wallace’s Boomtown podcast (with Wallace’s help) about the rigors of the oil and gas business is a perfect fit.
During a recent press day, TV Fanatic had the opportunity to talk with Wallace and its stars, Billy Bob Thornton, Ali Larter, Jacob Lofland, James Jordan, Mark Collie, Kayla Wallace, and Paulina Chávez. They shared unique insights into the series, its characters, and what drives them.

We’ve always been told that life’s a journey, not a destination. But what if the destination is the only thing that really matters? The journey of Yellowstone has been a wild, breathtaking ride through the rugged terrain of betrayal, power struggles, and family loyalty. An evil sociopath came to Gibsons, but it wasn’t who the police force initially suspected.
Murder in a Small Town Season 1 Episode 6 was the first installment not based on one of L. R. Wright’s novels.
It was one of the more graphic and twisted episodes, and that wasn’t exactly a compliment.

I was initially looking forward to this one based on the promo and the spoilers, but I felt let down after this one.
The only part I truly enjoyed was the series didn’t sweep Cassandra’s abduction under the rug. She was given time to process it accordingly.

The Matlock writers just won’t give Kathy Bate’s Madeline a break. They’re going to end up giving that sweet old lady a heart attack before she has a chance to get justice for her daughter.

Taylor Sheridan’s Yellowstone TV series has taken the world by storm from the get-go. Revolving around Montana’s Dutton family, dealing with the conflicts around their titular sprawling ranch, the show has perfectly captured the blend of old Western themes with the struggles of modernization. In recent years, Yellowstone has become one of the most-watched television shows. And is often credited with bringing the Western genre back into the mainstream, revolutionizing television.
With breathtaking cinematography, enthralling storylines, and impeccable performances from the cast, Yellowstone has aired five seasons; the fifth one being the series finale, premiering in two parts. Throughout these seasons, the characters and storylines have evolved. The series was not without controversy of its own. There were some contractual errors, some behind-the-scenes drama, and possibly some creative differences as well.

Hollywood friendships are full of unexpected twists. In the blink of an eye, friends that seemed solid can get sour, especially in the high-stakes world of entertainment. Such celebrities are no strangers to fallouts and feuds, and sometimes, the most surprising conflicts can be the ones that end up in lawsuits. This is exactly what happened with Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan and the show’s rugged cowboy, Cole Hauser.
The feud between Sheridan and Hauser in 2023 left fans stunned when the former slapped Hauser with a lawsuit over his coffee brand, Free Rein. Once the perfect team behind one of TV’s biggest neo-Westerns, Sheridan and Hauser’s partnership hit rocky road. It raised questions about Hauser’s character, Rip Wheller’s future, in Yellowstone’s finale and the 6666 spin-off.

The “Yellowstone” premiere on Sunday night contained not one, but two upsetting deaths. However, only one of them happened in real life.
Part of “Desire Is All You Need” followed Rip (Cole Hauser) as he travelled to a loriner to pick up a horse bit for Lloyd (Forrie J. Smith). But while he was at the shop in Pampa, Texas, the work of one craftsman in particular caught his eye, specifically a set of spurs that were made from a single piece of metal. That craftsman was Billy Klapper, who appeared in the episode as himself.

But while he was at the shop in Pampa, Texas, the work of one craftsman in particular caught his eye, specifically a set of spurs that were made from a single piece of metal. "Yellowstone" spoilers follow.
If you just watched the "Yellowstone" mid-Season 8 premiere, I'm going to guess this is not the first article you looked up. Kevin Costner's John Dutton III is dead, and a war is about to break out. With this in mind, here's hoping Taylor Sheridan can deliver the bloody calamity with the fierceness "Game of Thrones" couldn't muster up with the anticlimactic Battle of Winterfell. Time will tell, and y'all will no doubt be tuning in to see the iron-packing action.
While you wait for the mayhem to kick up, you might need some questions answered in the wake of the eventful premiere. One of those could very well be "Who is Billy Ray Klapper?" There was a title card dedicating the episode to him, which puzzled viewers who didn't know him as a member of the cast. Additionally, he wasn't a member of the crew, nor...

Plot: Yellowstone chronicles the Dutton family who controls the largest contiguous cattle ranch in the United States. Amid shifting alliances, unsolved murders, open wounds, and hard-earned respect – the ranch is in constant conflict with those it borders – an expanding town, an Indian reservation, and America’s first national park.
Review (Spoiler Warning): In the almost two years since the eighth episode of Yellowstone‘s fifth season premiered, fans have waited to learn the fate of John Dutton. Kevin Costner entered a very publicized feud with Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan, which was tied to his salary and time away from the series to direct his passion project, Horizon: An American Saga. The first part of that film has come and gone from theaters, but we have still been waiting to see how the second part of Yellowstone‘s fifth and final season would address Costner’s departure. Last night, we finally found out.

All good things must come to an end. It’s an age-old phrase, but when you’re standing at the crossroads of a beloved TV series like Yellowstone, that ending can feel a lot more complicated than a simple closure.
As the Dutton family saga approaches its final act in Season 5, viewers are bracing for more than just the conclusion of the story—they’re dealing with a noticeable absence. Kevin Costner, the cornerstone of Yellowstone as patriarch John Dutton, will not return for the show’s final stretch, following a highly publicized fallout with creator Taylor Sheridan.

What’s left behind, however, is a show determined to keep riding, even without its original lead. As fans prepare for the second half of Yellowstone’s fifth season, Luke Grimes, who portrays John’s son, Kayce Dutton, has opened up about the bittersweet reality of continuing the show without Costner.
