Netflix has just released the trailer for the new raunchy high school comedy from the Chernin brothers — Dave Chernin and John Chernin — who are veterans of irreverent shows It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia and the tragically cut-short Fox sitcom The Mick. The Chernins reunite with The Mick‘s Kaitlin Olson and Thomas Barbusca in Incoming. Oprah Winfrey Network and Lionsgate have set plans in motion for a “Greenleaf” spinoff series following the fifth and final season of the megachurch drama.

Created and executive produced by Craig Wright along with Winfrey herself, the series returns for its fifth and final season on June 23.

The spin-off will join Own’s existing lineup of scripted programming, which includes the Peabody-nominated series “David Makes Man,” Ava DuVernay’s “Queen Sugar” drama series, the anthology series “Cherish The Day,” and Tyler Perry’s long-running series “The Haves and the Have Nots.” Watch the teaser for the spinoff here.

Exclusive: Pastor, author and filmmaker T.D. Jakes has signed on as an executive producer of Lifetime’s upcoming foster care film I Am Somebody’s Child: The Regina Louise Story. Moved by Regina Louise and her harrowing story navigating the broken system, the network says Jakes joined the movie as an Ep to bring additional attention to the need for foster care reform.

In addition, Lifetime has partnered with several youth and adoption organizations on a PSA that will air during the movie’s April 20 premiere on Lifetime. You can watch it and a trailer for the film below.

Lifetime started 2019 with “Surviving R. Kelly” a docuseries aimed to shine light on violence against women, and inspired by new original movie “I Am Somebody’s Child: The Regina Louise Story,” the next group for which the network wants to advocate is those in the foster care system, Variety has learned exclusively.

The network will run a special PSA driving awareness to adoption and foster care resources and information during the premiere of “I Am Somebody’s Child” Saturday, April 20 at 8 p.m.

“I Am Somebody’s Child” is based on author and motivational speaker Regina Louise’s experience navigating the foster care system in her youth. Angela Fairley, who also has experience within the foster care system, plays Regina in the project, while Ginnifer Goodwin plays her hopeful adoptive mother Jeanne.

“Greenleaf” has been renewed for a fourth season at Own, the network announced Wednesday.

The announcement comes as the drama series has aired just four episodes of its third season, with the fifth episode set to air tonight.

“‘Greenleaf’ is a cornerstone of our scripted programming slate and pulls in millions of viewers each week with its unique storylines and powerful characters,” said Erik Logan, president of Own. “We are very proud of this show, the incredible cast, producers and crew, and can’t wait for more twists and turns from the Greenleaf family in season four.”

Own has renewed its megachurch drama series Greenleaf for Season 4. The series from writer-producer Craig Wright, and produced by by Lionsgate in association with Harpo Films and Pine City, stars Merle Dandridge, Lynn Whitfield and Keith David and revolves around the twists and turns of the Greenleaf family and their sprawling Memphis megachurch.

Season 3, which bowed with a two-night premiere August 28-29, features guest stars including Patti Labelle, Iyanla Vanzant and Beau Bridges. The most recent episode posted a season-high 2.3 million viewers a 1.9 rating in the target women 25-54 demo in Live+3 ratings for its Wednesday 10 Pm time slot, both metrics up from last year’s averages.
