A new episode of our What Happened to This Horror Movie? video series has just been released, and with this one we’re looking into the 2007 true crime mystery thriller Zodiac (watch it Here). Check out the video embedded above to hear all about it!

Directed by David Fincher from a screenplay by James Vanderbilt and based on the books Zodiac and Zodiac Unmasked by Robert Graysmith, the film has the following synopsis: In the late 1960s and 1970s, fear grips the city of San Francisco as a serial killer called Zodiac stalks its residents. Investigators and reporters become obsessed with learning the killer’s identity and bringing him to justice. Meanwhile, Zodiac claims victim after victim and taunts the authorities with cryptic messages, cyphers and menacing phone calls.

Eugene Levy starred in Schitt’s Creek for six seasons with the show wrapping up in 2020. After almost three years since the show’s finale, some fans have not lost hope of a possible revival.

Levy, who co-created the sitcom with his co-star son Dan Levy, recently said to “never say never” about revisiting the Rose family.

“I know my son Daniel has said this, we’d love to get together with these people again and take the show and the characters to yet another level,” Levy told Radio Times.

He continued, “There’s nothing in the works right now to be honest, but you know, we’ve never stopped thinking about what might happen down the line. We’re certainly open to anything, I think when the idea that is the right idea presents itself we’ll probably act on, I guess.”

Schitt’s Creek continued its winning streak Sunday night at the 78th Golden Globes, picking up the statuette for Best TV Comedy series. It was the second win of the night for the hit Pop TV show. Catherine O’Hara earlier took the nod for Best Actress in a TV Series, Musical or Comedy. The show also was nominated in the acting categories for series co-creators and stars Dan Levy and Eugene Levy and Annie Murphy.

Tonight’s wins follow the show’s historic success at the 2020 Emmy Awards where it swept all categories in its field, including best comedy series, and best actress in a comedy series for O’Hara.

Schitt’s Creek‘s sixth and final season has arrived a few days earlier than expected on Netflix, according to a tweet from series co-creator, executive producer and star Dan Levy. Its Netflix bow also included the farewell documentary Best Wishes, Warmest Regards, which aired on Pop TV following the series finale.

The show, which pulled off an unprecedented sweep of the comedy categories at the Primetime Emmy Awards, was originally set to release its Emmy-winning sixth season on Netflix Oct. 7. The series launched in US broadcast syndication on September 28.

The CBC-commissioned sitcom, which first premiered on Pop TV in January 2015, wrapped its sixth and final season in April.

Schitt’s Creek became the first series — comedy or drama — to sweep all categories in its field on the main Emmy telecast, led by Outstanding Comedy Series and wins for each of its nominated cast — a feat that had never before been accomplished.

Lionsgate’s Debmar-Mercury said Tuesday that Schitt’s Creek, which pulled off an unprecedented sweep of the comedy categories at Sunday’s Primetime Emmy Awards, will launch in U.S. broadcast syndication beginning September 28. The date comes after the recently ended Pop TV comedy set an October 2 launch for Comedy Central, a ViacomCBS sibling.

The CBC-commissioned sitcom, which first premiered on Pop TV in January 2015 and wrapped its sixth and final season in April, is also is available on Netflix. The streamer is launching the fifth season on October 7.

The U.S. broadcast syndication rights deal was made in May 2018. In October 2019, it sold to Fox stations. It is now cleared in more than 95% of the country on stations groups including Sinclair, CBS and CW Plus. In Los Angeles, it will air on Kcop on Saturdays at 11 p.m., 11:30 p.m. and midnight, on Sundays at 11 p.m. and 11:30 p.

On the heels of its history-making Emmy wins Sunday, Schitt’s Creek is heading to Comedy Central. The Pop TV series will premiere October 2 on its sister ViacomCBS network.

Pop and Comedy Central have been part of ViacomCBS’ Entertainment and Youth group since the beginning of the year, and Comedy Central, along with sibling Logo, in April carried a simulcast of Pop’s Schitt’s Creek series finale, which drew 1.3 million viewers in Live+Same Day across the three networks to rank as the most-watched episode in the show’s history.

The single-camera comedy also streams on Netflix, which will release the show’s final season Oct. 7.

Airing commercial-free Sunday, April 26 at 6:30 p.m. across all markets/7 p.m. Nt and now on hundreds of platforms, Canadian artists, activists, actors, and athletes will share their stories of hope and inspiration in a national salute to frontline workers combatting Covid-19 during the 90-minute show.

The unprecedented event, in support of Food Banks Canada, has become the biggest multi-platform broadcast in Canadian history, with 15 broadcasting groups led by Bell Media, CBC/Radio-Canada, Corus Entertainment, Groupe V Média, and Rogers Sports & Media presenting the star-studded show on hundreds of TV, radio, streaming, and on demand platforms.
