In 1994, Ho Yoke Weng collaborated with Singaporean filmmaker Eric Khoo and shot their first 35mm feature film, Mee-Pok Man. Based on the visual strength of that film, Weng was commissioned by Cathay Asia Films to shoot Army Daze, a feature length film about newly drafted national servicemen in the Singapore army. Weng subsequently filmed two additional feature films: 12 Storeys and Liang Po Po and supervised the post-production process at the film labs. The two feature films - 12 Storeys and Mee-Pok Man - were selected to be screened at more than 45 international film festivals, including the Berlin Film Festival and the Moscow Film Festival. The Hawaii International Film Festival awarded 12 Storeys as the Best Film in 1998.

As director, Weng spent a year working on the three-part film documentary Pagan - Jewel of the Golden Land. Shot primarily on 16mm film, the documentaries depict the annual festival, history and architecture of this deeply religious and revered city in Myanmar. The three documentaries were featured at the new Asian Civilizations Museum in Singapore in 1998 and a re-edited two-episode version was aired on TV nationwide.

In addition to the feature films and documentaries, Weng has also filmed more than 30 music videos and television commercials both in Hong Kong and Singapore. Many of the projects involved extensive special effects while others were filmed on-location in diverse cities such as Hong Kong, New York, Toronto, London , Shanghai , Beijing , Taipei , Bangkok and Singapore . TVC clients include Chase Manhattan Visa (HK), Compaq (HK), East Asia Bank (HK), Ericsson (HK), Epson (HK), Kao (HK & Singapore), McDonald's (Singapore), Pizza Hut (Singapore,) Sharp TV (Singapore), Sino-Land (HK), Sony (HK), and Starhub (Singapore), all in either 16mm or 35mm. The music videos were for Hong Kong and Singapore artistes such as Jacky Cheung, Leon Lai, Andy Lau, Faye Wong, Kelly Chen, Dick Lee, Gigi Leung, and Cass Phang.

For stills photography, Weng has shot in both 35mm and medium-format and have since moved to digital. He has been commissioned for editorial travel features by publications such as Elite Traveler and The Ritz-Carlton Magazine. His commercial lifestyle images client-list includes The Ritz-Carlton, Mandarin Oriental, Banyan Tree, Fairmont Hotels, JW Marriott, Renaissance, Rosewood Hotels and Grohe.
