Videotaped the March 3 1991 beating of Rodney King by Los Angeles police officers.

The original tape of the beating was confiscated by law enforcement while the attack was being investigated, and he tried unsuccessfully to get it back. The FBI did eventually return his Sony Handycam.

His grandfather was a policeman in London, England.

His father was a British executive with Shell oil and had to move frequently for work. Holliday was born in Canada, lived in Indonesia, and spent most of his childhood in Argentina before moving to Los Angeles.

Although he was born in Canada, he spent most of early years residing in Argentina. He immigrated to the United States during his early adult years.
