Marci T. House is an American/Canadian actress of stage, voice, film/tv, and an executive producer. Hailing from the south-side of the city of Chicago, she began acting on stage at age seven in community theatre and in Chicago Park District Theatre. She is a graduate of Louisiana Tech University and University of Illinois (Chicago) where she studied acting, architecture and urban planning, policy and design.
Marci has recurred on series like Netflix's DEVIL IN OHIO, The CW's iZOMBIE, Hallmark's CHESAPEAKE SHORES, ABC's MOTIVE, and APTN's TRIBAL for which she was nominated for a Leo Award for "Best Supporting Performance". She is well known as "Headmistress Bloodgood" in the Nickelodeon fan-favourite film series MONSTER HIGH, where she has appeared in both films, and Netflix's film adaptations of the beloved book series IVY + BEAN, where she has appeared in all 3 films. Marci's most recent feature credits include unforgettable, commanding roles in MAHALIA, directed by Kenny Leon, and Netflix's LOU from director Anna Foerster. Marci recently wrapped a recurring role in the upcoming Hallmark series RIPPLE and will also be seen in a 4-episode arc on the highly anticipated CBS/Paramount+ series HAPPY FACE with Dennis Quaid and Annaleigh Ashford.
On stage, Marci's work has earned her nominations for the NAACP Theatre Award and Jessie Theatre Award. She has appeared in productions of CORIOLANUS and TIMON OF ATHENS (Bard on the Beach), THE MADNESS OF GEORGE III and DRACULA (Shaw Festival Theatre), THE LADIES FOURSOME (The Grand Theatre), INTIMATE APPAREL (The Arts Club), RUINED (Obsidian Theatre/Nightwood Theatre), A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE (Blue Bridge Theatre Company), IN THE NEXT ROOM and THE VIBRATOR PLAY (Tarragon Theatre/MTC), and THE MIRACLE WORKER (Vancouver Playhouse).
