Along with his wife owns Dark Delicacies in Burbank, Ca. This is the only all-horror book, gift and collectible store in the USA. Frequent signs with authors, actors, and other horror film related folks.

In the 2017 film Victor Crowley director/writer Adam Green gives a shout out to Del Howison and his wife Sue in the opening scene before slaughtering them by naming the couple in the rowboat Del Howison and Sue.

In July 2019 Del Howison's novel "The Survival of Margaret Thomas" was released in hardback from Five Star and in audio book by Blackstone. The audio book was read by actress Carol Monda. In 2023 the book was reprinted in a trade paperback format by Pandi Press.
