- Noel Howlett was born on December 22, 1902 in Maidstone, England, UK. He was an actor, known for A Christmas Carol (1951), Please Sir! (1971) and Quatermass and the Pit (1967). He died on October 26, 1984 in Hammersmith, London, England, UK.
- He is the only actor to appear in both Quatermass and the Pit (1958) and Quatermass and the Pit (1967).
- Along with John Rae, he is one of only two actors to appear in one of the three 1950s BBC "Quatermass" serials to reprise his role in the subsequent Hammer Horror film adaptation. He played Vicar Gilpin in both Quatermass and the Pit (1958) and Quatermass and the Pit (1967).

Appeared more frequently on screen in character roles from 1947.
