Rob Hudnut is one of the most innovative and successful storytellers in children's entertainment. His movies, television series and specials have inspired billions of hours of viewership and over $15 billion in entertainment, toy and consumer product sales. Before starting Rob Hudnut Productions in 2017 to create toy-based and faith-based franchises, Rob served for nineteen years as Executive Producer and Vice President of Mattel's entertainment division. During that time, Rob created award-winning entertainment for Barbie, Hot Wheels, Fisher-Price Little People, Rescue Heroes, DC Superhero Girls, Masters of the Universe and many other Mattel brands.
Rob co-wrote "Barbie in The Nutcracker", the first Barbie movie. He then executive produced an additional 27 titles that have sold well over 180 million copies worldwide. Rob is also an Emmy-nominated songwriter who co-wrote over 50 songs for the Barbie movies, as well as songs for Hot Wheels and Fisher-Price. He has also been the executive producer for Barbie stage shows and live experiences.
Rob is a Princeton University graduate. Prior to Mattel, he developed and co-executive produced the television series "Mighty Max" and "Captain Simian".
Rob and his wife have twin sons and live in Los Angeles, where he's usually playing tennis.
