Mary Zema

Mary Zema (née Zimmer) is a heavy metal and hard rock vocalist and vocal coach who is most well known for her YouTube channel, Voicehacks, where she has amassed over 120k subscribers. Mary has been seen as a vocal coach on MTV's Made and heard as a consultant on BBC podcasts. Mary has additionally hosted her own podcast, The Voicehacks Podcast, where she interviewed vocalists in the hard rock and heavy metal genre. As an actress, Mary is a resident of Las Vegas, Nevada and has appeared in multiple films and productions shot in the Las Vegas area. She has been cast in television shows, commercials and major movie productions. She acts across multiple genres, but prefers comedy, sci-fi, fantasy, tech-noir, mystery/detective noir and music-related productions. As a singer and vocalist, Mary is known for her unique ability to produce a wide variety of singing and extreme vocal tones. She's used her extreme and distorted vocal tones as a voice actress for video games such as Dead by Daylight, lending her screams to the beloved character Cybil Bennett. She has been a heavy metal and hard rock vocalist for over 15 years with previously released 3 albums in Japan and has been signed to some of heavy metal's iconic record labels such as Century Media Records and Peaceville Records. As a vocal coach, Mary has been coach to hard rock and metal vocalists throughout the world for nearly 20 years. She specializes in teaching vocal techniques for modern singing and screaming (extreme/distorted vocals).
