John Christopher Meissner, born and raised in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada to German-Canadian parents, is a former soldier, instructor, and public servant. He began acting in high school but it wasn't until many years later that his thespian predilections took hold. He studied stage acting at the Hamilton Conservatory for the Performing Arts, improvisation through the Washington Improv Theatre, as well as creative writing and storytelling through the Armed Services Arts Partnership (ASAP). In 2020 he received a full scholarship to the Stella Adler Academy of Acting in Los Angeles.

Meissner has worked in theatre, television, film, radio, and voiceover, portraying characters on stage, on camera, and in video games. He has also written and produced award-winning videos and commercial radio spots. Meissner has received a Voice Arts Award from the Society of Voice Arts and Sciences (SOVAS), along with both Platinum and Gold dot.COMM awards, and a One Voice Awards nomination for a national radio commercial.

He is married to Paula Meissner who is also an accomplished voice actor.
