Lora Kojovic
- Actress
Lora Kojovic (Koy-o-vich) is an emerging talent with an unmatchable
drive to represent nothing less than hard work and grace through her
career in the entertainment industry. She is fluent in four languages
(English, French, Russian and Bosnian), a successful runway and print
model and a member of numerous National Honor Societies (Phi Beta
Kappa, Beta Gamma Sigma and Phi Eta Sigma). With the drive of a true
professional and the heart of a passionate artist, a long lasting
career is a definite for this exotic beauty.
At the age of fifteen, Lora's family moved to the United States with nothing more than a suitcase filled with summer clothes. Initially, the trip was to be temporary, but an erupting civil war in her native country of Yugoslavia (now Bosnia) forced Lora's family to claim America as their new home. Since she could barely speak English, Lora was pressured to enroll in an ESL (English as a Second Language) class, but she refused as she wanted to be treated as an equal amongst her new classmates. She found herself studying a rigorous six to eight hours a day to maintain a 4.0 GPA, training relentlessly to be the top ranked varsity tennis player throughout high school, and winning numerous academic awards, all to prove to herself and others that the adversity of a new country and language could not prevent her from being the best that she could be.
Post high school, where her Senior Class voted her "Class Bookworm", Lora traveled to Milan to explore the world of modeling. Her stunning good looks and six-foot frame made her a natural on the runway, but despite her success, her love of the academic world seduced her back to the United States where she enrolled at the University of Wisconsin. A double-major in Finance and French, Lora graduated number 1 in her class of over 800 students in just three and a half years, with Honors and a 4.0 GPA. With her impressive academic achievements, she was recruited by many investment banks and finally settled in at the Morgan Stanley headquarters in the heart of the theater district in New York City.
On her way home from a late night at the office, a small platoon of screaming voices snatched her through the cracked doors of a nearby acting studio. She sat in the back of the class and was intoxicated by 'the act'. Without hesitation, she enrolled in the evening class seeing an opportunity to fully express herself in a new and uninhibited environment. A few months later, to her co-workers' and family's surprise, Lora decided to leave the financial industry and immerse herself in the profession of acting.
With her eclectic life experience and outstanding work ethic, the journey has just begun.
