Is a 30 years LAPD veteran and a highly regarded weapons instructor and firearms expert.

Served many times as an expert witness on police cases involving use-of-force.

Served most of his LAPD time with Metro Division "A" Platoon (Tactical Weapons Training Group), "C" Platoon (Crime Suppression Unit) and "D" Platoon (Special Weapons and Tactics).

Widely considered as one the best tactical operator on US soil. He trained with every military and law enforcement elite outfits. Among others: Force Recon (United States Marines Corps), Special Operation Forces Detachment-Delta (commonly known as Delta Force - US Army), Navy SEALs Team 6 (US Navy), 75th Ranger Regiment (US Army), Hostage Rescue Team (FBI), Mobile Enforcement Team (DEA), Special Operations Group (US Marshals Service) and Special Investigation Section (LAPD).

Was involved in the largest narcotics seizure in LAPD history: 20 tons of cocaine with 10 millions of dollars in cash (even appearing on LA Times front page).
