Biography

Has written more than 100 books and, as of 2005, has sold over 30,000,000 worldwide.

She was appointed children's laureate (2005) and an honorary fellow of Corpus Christi College, Cambridge (2012).

Her daughter, Emma Wilson, is Professor of French Literature and the Visual Arts at the University of Cambridge and a fellow of Corpus Christi College, Cambridge.

The British magazine "Jackie", directed toward teenage girls, was named after Jacqueline Wilson who worked as a journalist for the publisher at the time the magazine was launched.
