Chucky the killer doll returns for season three and Wynonna Earp star Tim Rozon is back helping with haunted real estate on season two of SurrealEstate on October 4, 2023. USA/Syfy will kick off new seasons of both shows on Wednesday, October 4th, with Chucky airing at 9pm Et/Pt on USA/Syfy followed by SurrealEstate at 10pm Syfy.

The premiere date announcement was accompanied by the first SurrealEstate season two trailer and a special Chucky press conference video.

Both shows will return to Syfy, USA Network, and Peacock on October 4, 2023.

Chucky Season 2 wrapped with plenty of plot threads ironed out, giving the sense that the third season would be completely different.

Given that Jennifer Tilly's Tiffany fate was left in the air on Chucky Season 2 Episode 8, the killer doll held a press conference confirming her return.

Unfortunately, it doesn't look like Devon Sawa will return as a new character.

When Chucky is asked whether the actor will be back, the doll says the following:

Syfy’s lineup for its 30th anniversary includes some good news for fans of SurrealEstate: It will be back. The series led by Wynonna Earp‘s Tim Rozon and also starring Sarah Levy, Tennille Read, Maurice Dean Wint, Adam Korson, and Savannah Basley will be back for a second season in 2023. “Believe,” creator George Olsen tweeted after the news broke. Syfy’s SurrealEstate will again see the light of day. The Canadian drama series, which was canceled last year, will return for a second season for premiere in 2023, Syfy has revealed.

The series, which stars Tim Rozon, Sarah Levy, Adam Korson, Maurice Dean Wint, Savannah Basley, and Tennille Read, follows an elite team of specialists at The Roman Agency who handle the cases no one else can — haunted and possessed houses that literally scare would-be buyers away.

SurrealEstate will join previously announced new scripted series Reginald the Vampire, a dramedy based on Johnny B. Truant’s Fat Vampire book, and space-set survival drama The Ark, from writer Dean Devlin, as well as Halloween horror movie Bring It On: Cheer or Die.

Syfy’s latest programming slate includes the return of the #1 and #2 new scripted cable series of 2021, the Alan Tudyk-led dramedy Resident Alien and Chucky, executive produced by Don Mancini.

The Pearsons cry, they laugh, they cry some more, they maybe hook up with wedding singers… and they Wobble.

In conjunction with NBC’s This Is Us airing its Kate/Philip wedding episode on Tuesday night, series lead Mandy Moore and several costars released a BTS video of what appears to be every “name” wedding attendee doing the dance called The Wobble, set to “Wobble” by V.I.C.

Exclusive: SurrealEstate‘s Adam Korson has signed with Link Entertainment for talent management.

Korson can currently be seen in the series regular role of Father Phil Orley on the new Syfy drama series SurrealEstate from Blue Ice Pictures. He can also be seen as the lead in the Peter “Drago” Tiemann-directed indie creature feature The Stairs.

Korson, perhaps is best known for his role as Harry Dacosta in Seed, which aired for two seasons on the CW. He also appeared recently in a recurring role on Teachers and in Jordan Peele’s revival of The Twilight Zone. His other previous credits include guest-starring roles on Lucifer and Longmire.

Korson continues to be repped by Buchwald and attorney Don Steel.

Schitt’s Creek alums Tim Rozon and Sarah Levy, along with Adam Korson (Seed), Maurice Dean Wint (The Kid Detective), Savannah Basley (Wynonna Earp) and Tennille Read (Workin’ Moms) are set as series regulars in The Surrealtor, Syfy’s upcoming drama series from Blue Ice Pictures. The 10-episode series begins production September 15 in Newfoundland, Canada.

Developed for television by George Olson, The Surrealtor follows realtor Nick Roman (Rozon) and an elite team of specialists that handle the cases no one else can: haunted and possessed houses that literally scare would-be buyers away. Teachers comes to us from the members of the comedy ensemble The Katydids which includes Caitlin Barlow, Katy Colloton, Cate Freedman, Kate Lambert, Katie O’Brien and Kathryn Renee Thomas.

The rest of the cast includes Carrie-Lynn Neales, Amanda Brugel, Stephanie Anne Mills, Laura De Carteret, Matt Baram, Vanessa Matsui, Abby Ross, and William Ainscough.

Backpackers follows Brandon (Dillon Casey) and Ryan (Noah Reid) as they travel through Europe looking for Ryan's girlfriend girlfriend Beth (Meghan Heffern). Giacomo Gianniotti plays Andrew, Brandon's slacker brother.

Both shows had dismal launches last week, attracting fewer than 600,000 viewers each. The numbers got even worse this week. Based on the fast affiliate ratings, Backpackers dropped 40% and Seed fell 20%.

Arsenio Hall's return to late-night television worked out pretty well -- at least on night one.

The debut of "The Arsenio Hall Show" in syndication Monday night (Sept. 9) scored solid ratings with a 1.9 household rating in overnight metered markets. The show also led all the broadcast-network late-night shows -- all of which had new episodes Monday -- among adults 18-49 and adults 25-54.

Hall also finished first among late-night talkers in Los Angeles and second in New York, behind "The Late Show with David Letterman." One night does not a successful late-night franchise make, but it's a good start.
