Well, that was the start of something with a lot of potential.
With Tim Rozon leading a talented cast of fellow Canadians, SurrealEstate Season 1 Episode 1 set the expectations for what the show will be all about.
It feels similar to other Syfy shows off the bat, such as Warehouse 13 and Haven, and that's good company.
Luke Roman runs the Roman Real Estate Agency, where he and his team offer specialized services to homeowners who find it hard to sell their homes, let alone get top dollar.
These people are among the unlucky few who have stigmatized properties that make unburdening their homes a tremendous burden on them and those who show interest in a property.
A stigmatized property is one whose value has been affected by unfortunate occurrences -- ragic events associated with the property, including but not limited to murder, suicide, even accidental death or the perception, either real or imagined,...

The CW has aquired the rights to air Seed here in the Us. It's a half-hour comedy that premiered in Canada in February and has become the City network's highest-rated original comedy to date.
Seed follows the life of Harry Dacosta (Adam Korson), a single, underachieving bachelor and bartender who's also been a sperm donor. He reluctantly finds himself entangled in the lives of his new-found children and their less-than-thrilled families. They include a laid-back lesbian couple with a nine-year-old son, a neurotically hopeful single mom-to-be, and an uptight, upper-class family with a rebellious teenage daughter.

Arsenio Hall's return to late-night television worked out pretty well -- at least on night one.
The debut of "The Arsenio Hall Show" in syndication Monday night (Sept. 9) scored solid ratings with a 1.9 household rating in overnight metered markets. The show also led all the broadcast-network late-night shows -- all of which had new episodes Monday -- among adults 18-49 and adults 25-54.
Hall also finished first among late-night talkers in Los Angeles and second in New York, behind "The Late Show with David Letterman." One night does not a successful late-night franchise make, but it's a good start.
More TV news and notes:
- The CW will have a half-hour comedy on its schedule in 2013-14. The network has picked up a Canadian show called "Seed," which centers on a bartender (Adam Korson) who's also a sperm donor. He's drawn into relationships with three families who have used his donations.

Birthday shoutouts go to Ryan Phillippe (above), who is 39, Colin Firth is 53, and Johnathon Scaech is 44.
Tickets go on sale October 19th for Neil Patrick Harris in the Broadway run of Hedwig
I’m confused. Did Pax Dickinson not expect to get fired for this?
The CW is importing the Canadian sitcom Seed to air in the U.S. “Seed tells the story of Harry (Adam Korson), an underachieving bachelor/bartender who is also a sperm donor. Harry reluctantly begins a relationship with three separate recipient families – a laid-back lesbian couple with a 9-year-old son, a neurotically hopeful single mom-to-be and an uptight, upper-class family with a rebellious teenage daughter – with whom he’ll come to share more than just his DNA.” I know the show has already aired in Canada, so what do our Canadian readers think of it?
Congrats to Rafael Nadal, who I’m informed won his second U.

The CW will play host to its first half-hour comedy since…. well, let’s try to forget that whole Media Rights Capital/Sunday night mishegas… by importing the Canadian series Seed.
From Joseph Raso (Zombies & Cheerleaders) and Mark Farrell (Corner Gas), Seed tells the story of Harry (Adam Korson), an underachieving bachelor/bartender who is also a sperm donor.
