At the end of September, JoBlo Media and Octane Multimedia teamed up to launch a new YouTube channel named JoBlo TV, which hosts multiple feature films to watch for free throughout the week. The genres we’ll be focusing on at JoBlo TV are Action, Horror, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, and Thrillers – and this week has been all about the action!

Rusty Blade might seem like an odd title for a Chinese action drama movie but it absolutely makes sense once you have seen it. An expert swordsman returns home to his village after spending ten years in prison. Plenty of things have changed for him and his family and now the village is under threat from a ruthless criminal organisation. It doesn’t take a genius to work out whether he decides to go back on his vow to not pick up a sword again.

Rusty Blade is a adventure movie directed by Huyi Sun and Xiaobai Song. It stars Su Zhenhua, Cong Xiao and Liu Chuxuan.

Premise
Lin Dawei, an assistant to the county government, needs money to feed his family. Lin is persuaded by his colleague Lu Qian to steal Jin Mantang’s gold. Ten years later, the emperor’s eldest son was born, the emperor pardoned the criminals, and Lin Dawei returned home. However, things did not go well in his hometown. Jin Mantang joined forces with smugglers to kill thousands of people. The swordsmen that Lu Qian sent to kill Jin Mantang were destroyed, and Taiping was in danger.
