Elsa Pottier
- Actress
Elsa is a French-Canadian actress. She grew up in Montreal, where she studied English theatre and acting for film. Later, she moved to Paris and performed in various plays. Elsa trained under Marcel Marceau, the Academie Fratellini and attended Cours Florent, where she studied both classical, modern theatre and masks.
She spent a year in London working with a small theatre group for foreigners before returning to Canada to join the a Montreal local Circus company. For over five years, Elsa performed on stage as an acrobat and developed creative characters. She also appeared in television series, taking on small roles and commercials.
Elsa completed her degree in cinema at the Sorbonne University while living in the Middle East, where she encountered the harsh reality that art is restricted and women are prohibited from performing publicly. Despite these challenges, she established small private acting classes, allowing many to experience acting for the first time.
Her experiences in the Middle East as an actress and director were particularly challenging, yet they fueled her passion for storytelling. Elsa's multicultural background and diverse experiences have driven her to engage in projects that highlight women's stories and foster cross-cultural understanding.
