Growing up in Manchester, England during the heyday of Factory Records, The Hacienda and the tail-end of punk rock - Miller spent formative years in his father's Reggae record shop, before moving to London, where he studied Media at The University of Westminster.
After writing for NME , Melody Maker and directing music videos with Academy Award-nominated cinematographer Seamus McGarvey, Miller traveled the world under the pseudonym 'Mr Love' working as a DJ/Emcee and Nightclub Promoter in Amsterdam, Paris and New York.
Miller permanently relocated to Los Angeles, where he launched Men's Perspective Magazine and became Editorial Director of Metropolis Publications - regularly quoted in the Wall Street Journal and Folio Magazine. Consulting work for brands like Warner Bros, Budweiser, and Triumph Motorcycles ultimately shifted into a career in screenwriting.
After working on numerous rewrites at Franchise Pictures, Millennium, and Mobius International - Miller crossed into the independent sector serving as both Writer and Editor for a diverse roster of Directors including Larry Clark, James Gartner, and Jesse Dylan as well as becoming in-house Editor for Chris Hanley at Muse Productions (American Psycho, Virgin Suicides).
Trevor Miller completed his MFA in Screenwriting from the prestigious David Lynch Graduate School of Cinematic Arts in 2020 and his directorial, feature debut 'Riot On Redchurch Street - The Director's Cut' starring Sam Hazeldine (Adar in Rings of Power) and Produced by Hamish McAlpine (Funny Games) is due for release in January 2025.
Dazed Digital described 'Riot' as "Wildly cinematic like The Killing Of A Chinese Bookie!"
