Jelly Roll and Mgk took over The Tonight Show stage to showcase their song “Lonely Road” with the help Travis Barker and a group of musicians and back-up singers. The singers joined forces around a flaming trash can, which Barker temporarily used as a drum set. The musicians later sat down at Jimmy Fallon’s desk to croon a few verses.
“Lonely Road” is a collaboration between Mgk and Jelly Roll, which was released earlier this summer. The anthemic song was produced by Barker, Charlie Handsome, BazeXX, and SlimXX, and interpolates “Take Me Home,...

Country music’s biggest night will be without one of the world’s biggest celebrities.
And the world is in shock as a result.
On Monday, September 6, the Country Music Association revealed the full list of nominees for the 58th Annual CMA Awards… with Morgan Wallen leading the pack with seven total nods.
As for Beyonce? She received not a single one.
Not. A. Single. One.

The shut-out is galling and surprising because Beyonce took a critically-acclaimed leap by releasing her first-ever country music album a short time ago.
It debuted atop the charts.
Back in March, the superstar explained the inspiration behind “Cowboy Carter” by saying project was “born out of an experience that I had years ago where I did not feel welcomed.

There’s one surprising name missing from the Country Music Association Awards list of 2024 nominees: Beyoncé. The artist’s country and Americana album “Cowboy Carter” did not receive any nominations from the awards organization.
Instead, the most nominated artist of the 2024 CMA Awards is Morgan Wallen, who is nominated for major honors including Entertainer of the Year, Single of the Year and Song of the Year. As for CMA Entertainer of the Year — the awards show’s biggest honor — that battle will be taking place this year between Luke Combs, Jelly Roll, Chris Stapleton, Morgan Wallen and Lainey Wilson.
Cody Johnson and Chris Stapleton tied for the second most-nominated artists with five nods apiece. They were then followed by Post Malone and Lainey Wilson, who each secured four nominations, as well as Louis Bell, Luke Combs, Charlie Handsome, Hoskins, Jelly Roll, Megan Moroney and Kacey Musgraves, who each secured three nominations.

Back in 2021, Post Malone turned the heads of country-music fans when he covered two songs on the opposite ends of the country spectrum during an online telethon: Brad Paisley’s radio hit “I’m Gonna Miss Her (The Fishin’ Song)” and Sturgill Simpson’s underground favorite “You Can Have the Crown.” Malone, a pop superstar who has been teasing his country fandom as far back as 2015, delivered the tunes with traditional twang and rough-edged vibes, suggesting a genuine affinity for and deep knowledge of the genre. Ever since his CMA Awards performance with Morgan Wallen and Hardy, Post Malone has seemingly been bopping around Nashville. He was spotted at Duke’s bar in East Nashville earlier this month and is reportedly holed up somewhere in town working on his long-anticipated country project. He also collaborated with Wallen in the studio during CMAs week, at least according to a photo that Nashville songwriter Ernest posted of himself with Posty and Wallen.
