Guess who's next up to join Darren Lynn Bousman’s The Monster. It's Jeepers Creepers star Gina Philips! This will be her first on-screen role in eight years, and we're so glad that she chose a horror film as her comeback.

She joins already-announced cast members Djimon Hounsou, Lauren Lavera, and Mia Healey. While she's best known for starring as Trish Jenner in the horror flick Jeepers Creepers, Philips also had recurring roles in TV shows such as Ally McBeal, Boston Public and Hawaii.

Also newly joining The Monster cast are U.S. rapper Jacob Lukas Anderson aka Prof, Alicia Witt, Neal McDonough, Michael Lombardi, David Call, Victor Del Rio, Cedric Benjamin, Zac Jaffee, Renés Rivera, Hari Bhaskar, and Kristina Krasniqi. A couple of months ago, we learned that Djimon Hounsou (A Quiet Place Part II and A Quiet Place: Day One) is set to star in The Monster, a horror thriller that Darren Lynn Bousman will be directing from a screenplay by Jonathan Bernstein and James Greer, the writers of Steven Soderbergh’s Unsane. It was announced soon after that Lauren Lavera – who played heroine Sienna in Terrifier 2 and the recently released Terrifier 3 – was joining Hounsou in the cast. Now, Deadline reveals that Alicia Witt (Longlegs), Gina Philips (Jeepers Creepers), Neal McDonough (Band of Brothers), Mia Healey (The Wilds), Michael Lombardi (The Deuce), David Call (Insidious: The Red Door), Victor Del Rio (Precognito), Cedric Benjamin (Luke Cage), Zac Jaffee (Hustlers), Renés Rivera (The Falcon and the Winter Soldier), Hari Bhaskar (First Shift), Kristina Krasniqi (Celebrity Ghost Stories), and rapper Jacob Lukas Anderson, a.k.a. Prof, are also in the cast.

For starters, Paramount’s Republic Pictures label has boarded worldwide rights on the film. Additionally, Gina Philips (Jeepers Creepers) has signed on to co-star in The Monster.

As Deadline notes in their report, this will mark Gina Philips’ first on-screen role in eight years. In addition to playing Trish alongside Justin Long in Jeepers Creepers, Philips’ horror credits also include Deadly Invasion: The Killer Bee Nightmare (1995), and Dead & Breakfast (2004).

“I’m a horror movie fanatic,” Gina Philips is credited as once saying in her IMDb bio.

Philips will star alongside Lauren Lavera in The Monster. The film’s cast also includes Djimon Hounsou (A Quiet Place), Mia Healey (The Wilds), Jacob Lukas Anderson, Alicia Witt (Longlegs) and Neal McDonough (Band Of Brothers).
