Adi Halfin is an award winning director and screenwriter.
Born in Jerusalem (1977) and raised partly in London, she is a graduate cum laude of the Sam Spiegel Film School, Jerusalem.
Her three shorts have traveled the world in prestigious festivals such as Cannes and Berlinale and have won numerous prizes worldwide.
Adi has worked as a 1st assistant director in feature films, TV dramas and commercials, where she gained a vast experience in the art of film making, assisting and learning from the best Israeli directors, such as Amos Gitai, Samuel Maoz, Rama Burshtein and many more.
In addition to directing documentaries, music videos and commercials, Adi teaches production and directing in film schools, where she has built a unique program that emphasizes the relations between the history of art and cinema.
Her recent work "Home Alone" in which she collaborated with the Bat Sheva Dance Company was a viral hit and has won best short in the San Francisco Dance Film Festival (2014) and in Korea's SESIFF festival (2014). This 2 minute short has gained a life of its own and is discovering the planet through film festivals till today.
The 15 second clip she directed for Mark Ronson's "Daffodils" (feat. Kevin Parker) won the Genero TV contest and was chosen as one of the top three videos by Mr. Ronson.
Adi currently divides her time between Tel-Aviv and Berlin, where she's working on her first two feature films, writing two shorts and directing music videos and commercials.
