Band members are Adam Levine (vocals, guitar), James Valentine(guitar), Mickey Madden (bass), Ryan Dusick (drums) and Jesse Carmichael (keyboards).

"Songs About Jane" their second CD, is named after one of Adam Levine's ex-girlfriends.

Adam Levine went to elementary school with Jake Gyllenhaal.

Won the best new artist award at the 2004 MTV video music awards

Number 1 songs: Harder to Breathe (2003), This Love (2004), and She will be Loved (2004).

They have done over 200 live shows, including opening stints for John Mayer, Sheryl Crow, Jason Mraz and Counting Crows.

The song "Harder to Breathe" came out July 15, 2002. But didn't get enough radio play to become a hit until one year and 1 month later, when it went all the way to #1 on Billboards Top 100 Songs Chart and Casey Kasem's AT40 & AT20.

They are friends with actresses Natalie Portman and Kirsten Dunst.

Manager is Jordan Feldstein.

Sophie Muller directed two of their videos, "She Will Be Loved" and "This Love".

The hotel shown in their "Sugar" video was the same location as Vincent Ludwig's (Ricardo Montalban) office in The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad! (1988).
