Jessica is an award-winning, producer-writer based in Los Angeles. A University of Southern California Peter Stark Producing Program alum, her films have screened at film festivals worldwide including the Cannes International Film Festival, won a College Emmy from the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences and garnered several top festival awards. Jessica's screenplays have been recognized by notable writing labs including Brian Grazer and Ron Howard's Imagine Impact program, The Writers Lab and the Indie Memphis Black Screenwriter's Residency Program. Jessica was selected as a fellow for The Blackhouse Foundation's Producers Lab based upon a television series she developed.
Over the course of her career, Jessica has written, produced and directed content for various organizations, networks and studios including Magic Johnson Enterprises, ECODEO, KNBC and Warner Brothers. She served as Producer on The Africa Channel's Telly Award-winning series "World Wide Nate: African Adventures." And Most recently, Jessica served as Executive Producer and Writer on The Africa Channel series titled "Escape with Nate: In Search of Black Utopia. Her content has aired on various networks and streamers including Starz, Showtime, HBO/Cinemax Latin America, and Netflix.
Jessica's career began as the Production Coordinator for Herzog & Company. However, her responsibilities quickly escalated and she began to work as a Production Manager/Line Producer for several of the company's PSAs, television pilots, and DVD/EPK special shoots for clients including Universal Studios, Walt Disney Studios and Warner Brothers.
In addition to her various film and TV projects, Jessica has also produced, written and directed several short form documentaries and DVD special features for Warner Brothers titles including TROY: THE DIRECTOR'S CUT, FOOL'S GOLD, NIP TUCK SEASONS 4 & 5, WE ARE MARSHALL and THE CLOSER SEASON 3. She directed a brand-driven TV show episode on KNBC about the La Victoria brand.
