The Buggles were an English new wave pop band formed in London in 1977.
The new wave band, formed in 1977, comprised original members Trevor Horn, Geoff Downes, Bruce Woolley and Hans Zimmer. They had the distinction of being the very first act to be featured for the launch of MTV (August 31, 1981) with their hit single "Video Killed the Radio Star".
