Born Darren Bailey Stichtenoth (pronounced 'stick-ten-oat), Darren dropped his last name once he began working professionally as an actor.
Darren holds a BA in Theatre from Miami University. Having an interest in film acting since he was a child, he joined a student-run film organization called M.A.F.I.A. (Miami Association of Filmmakers and Independent Artists), created by A.J. Rickert-Epstein.
Darren moved to California in 2008 to pursue a career in acting. In 2010, he co-founded the martial arts production team Thousand Pounds Action Company with Vonzell Carter and Christopher Clark Cowan. The company garnered viral success through YouTube, particularly with their Street Fighter and Naruto-based videos, before disbanding in 2012.
In addition to acting, Darren now frequently works as a writer, stunt performer, stunt coordinator, educator, motion/performance capture artist, and horror film producer.
