The Marvel Cinematic Universe has been dominating the Hollywood landscape for over 15 years and it shows no signs of slowing down. Though the Marvel Studios franchise has taken a number of hits in recent years, it's still drawing millions of people to the movie theaters, breaking box office records, and producing some of the most anticipated movies of each year.
From 2008's Iron Man to 2024's Deadpool and Wolverine (and beyond), there is plenty of entertainment to be found in the MCU franchise. That's one of the many reasons that fans find it so hard to rank which of the films are the very best in the series. The Multiverse Saga isn't as consistent as the Infinity Saga, but there have been some gems in there that can go toe-to-toe with the heavy-hitters. But when your heavy-hitters are plentiful, how do you choose which ones are the best?

There has been plenty of speculation about what the potential 4th installment of Tom Holland’s Spider-Man might include. Currently, owing to the sheer uncertainty surrounding the MCU, instead of official updates, a range of rumors have shown face with respect to the upcoming iteration.
There is plenty of speculation about Tom Holland’s Spider-Man 4. | Marvel
One such rumor stated that Mister Negative, a familiar supervillain who has often been found fighting Spider-Man in the comics, will be a part of the movie. However, one theory, which has been fueled by fans on Reddit, states exactly how another very familiar villain, who has already been a part of a previous project in the form of Far From Home, might also be in contention.

After more or less a solid decade of notable parts in multiple languages (most notably Fatih Akin’s 2017 In the Fade), seasoned German-Turkish actor Numan Acar (who will next be seen in Terrence Malick’s long-awaited The Way of the Wind) returns behind the camera to unpack some personal memories with The Suitcase (aka Waliz). Working with two distinct time frames, the short (which had its world premiere at the 2023 Red Sea Film Festival) looks at themes of displacement, powerlessness and identity, we are witness to all strands of violence on a people who unfortunately come to think of this object as vital to their survival and acts as a lifeline to their past, their family history and physical safety.…...

"This woman stole 40 years from you. We're going to take them back." Netflix has revealed the first official trailer for a German sci-fi thriller feature film titled Paradise, from filmmaker Boris Kunz. It's premiering this week at the 2023 Munich Film Festival, hence the trailer dropping now. It's a dystopian look at a future where we've commoditized our "youth", human aging, to always stay young. A man sees the dark side of the time-manipulating biotech company he works for when a crushing debt forces his wife to give up 40 years of her own life. Trade your life for money: In the not-too-distant future, a method of transferring years of your life from one person to another has changed the world forever and turned biotech start-up Aeon into a billion-dollar pharmaceutical company. When his wife has to pay debts by giving up 38 years, everything changes for this couple. The film stars Kostja Ullmann,...

"Homeland" continues to overshadow most modern entertainment thanks to its fast-paced action, alluring drama, and incredible acting. Starring Claire Danes, Damien Lewis, Mandy Patinkin, Rupert Friend, Morena Baccarin, and Morgan Saylor, the Showtime original series burst onto the air in 2011, capturing all the awards and garnering critical accolades. It faced challenges in its second and third seasons but made a triumphant return, steadily improving over the next four years.
Created by Howard Gordon and Alex Gansa, who happily incorporate elements from their other prestigious TV series, such as "24," "Homeland" follows CIA Agent Carrie Mathison (played by Claire Danes) as she attempts to uncover a dangerous secret held by Sgt. Nicholas Brody (played by Damien Lewis), who may or may not be a terrorist. The premise is clever, the writing is smart, and the storytelling is brilliant. "Homeland" goes beyond that and earns points for tackling important current political issues,...

This Sunday, the final season of “Homeland” will finally arrive. Stars Claire Danes and Mandy Patinkin, showrunner Alex Gansa, and a lucky hundred or so of the rest of us got to see it Tuesday at the world premiere, which was held at New York City’s Museum of Modern Art (MoMA).
The after-party played out at the Lobster Club, a few long city blocks over. For a “Homeland” fan, the evening was about as good as Tuesdays get. For so many former “Homeland” stars, it was a homecoming.
Below are a few of our non-spoilery takeaways from the nice-enough February night in Manhattan.

It’s very expensive to park by you. Honestly, that’s on us though. You seem to have a ton of different entrances on 53rd St.

Before “Homeland” signs off of Showtime this spring, it is going back to its beginning. Rather than “mirror and reflect what’s happening in Washington, D.C.” in the storytelling this season as the show did in the past two seasons, executive producer Alex Gansa said the focus will be on the characters of Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes) and Saul Berenson (Mandy Patinkin).
The final season, Gansa said at the Television Critics Assn. press tour panel for the show Monday, is a “real resolution of the primal story” of the mentor and his protege. Additionally, “the really big idea of the season is that Carrie Mathison steps into Nicholas Brody’s shoes: She’s the one whose loyalty is questioned, not only by those in the intelligence community but by Carrie Mathison herself because her memory is fragmented by her time in captivity,” Gansa said.

Showtime released a new trailer for the long-awaited final season of “Homeland” at the Television Critics Association winter press tour in Pasadena, California, on Monday.
Claire Danes and Mandy Patinkin return as counterterrorism specialists for the eighth and final season, which sees Carrie (Danes) suffering some trauma and falling under suspicion from the U.S. government after spending time as a Russian prisoner.
The only person who trusts her is Saul (Patinkin), now National Security Advisor to the newly ascendant President Warner (Beau Bridges), who asks Carrie to walk with him into the lion’s den – one last time.

Showtime released the first trailer for the eighth and final season of “Homeland,” which you can see above.
The final season of “Homeland” finds Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes) recovering from months of brutal confinement in a Russian gulag. Her body is healing, but her memory remains fractured – which is a problem for Saul (Mandy Patinkin), now National Security Advisor to the newly ascendant President Warner (Emmy and Golden Globe winner Beau Bridges). The top priority of Warner’s young administration is an end to the “forever war” in Afghanistan, and Saul has been dispatched to engage the Taliban in peace negotiations. But Kabul teems with warlords and mercenaries, zealots and spies – and Saul needs the relationships and expertise that only his protégé can provide. Against medical advice, Saul asks Carrie to walk with him into the lion’s den – one last time.

You’ll have to wait even longer for the final season of “Homeland.” The 12-episode eighth season will premiere on Sunday, Feb. 9 at 9/8c — aka the day of the Oscars — Showtime announced Friday at the Television Critics Association summer press tour.
This is the second time the final season has been delayed. Originally set to bow in June 2019, the premiere shifted to fall 2019 in January to accommodate production demands. Gary Levine, Showtime’s president of entertainment, cited the same reasons for the postponement again on Friday.
“‘Homeland’ is an ambitious series, especially in its final season,” Levine told reporters. “[Showrunner] Alex [Gansa] wants to go out proudly, and that has involved production in multiple countries at times and in places that have some issues. It just takes time.”
Levine stressed that there had been no “missteps.” “It’s been a relatively smooth process,” he said. “But it’s a very ambitious production...

“Homeland” is not returning for its final season until February. While that’s later than expected, Showtime executives said there have been no setbacks on the show.
“We would rather have it good than fast,” Gary Levin, Showtime’s co-entertainment president said during the network’s executive session at the Television Critics Association press tour on Friday. “There have been no missteps here. It’s been a relatively smooth process, but a very ambitious production schedule that has just taken more time than we hoped it would.”
Showtime announced earlier on Friday that the Claire Danes-led drama’s final season will premiere on Feb. 9, 2020. Earlier this year, Showtime was eyeing a fall premiere date for the show’s final season. When it returns, it will have been nearly two years since its seventh season aired.

Showtime announced on Friday morning during the Television Critics Association press tour that the Claire Danes-led drama’s final season will premiere on Feb. 9, 2020. Earlier this year, Showtime was eyeing a fall premiere date for “Homeland’s” swan song.
Here is the logline for the final season, per Showtime:
The final season of “Homeland” finds Carrie Mathison (Danes) recovering from months of brutal confinement in a Russian gulag. Her body is healing, but her memory remains fractured – which is a problem for Saul (Mandy Patinkin), now National Security Advisor to the newly ascendant President Warner (Beau Bridges). Showtime is delaying Carrie Mathison’s final curtain call yet again.
The cabler on Friday announced that Homeland‘s return has been pushed to 2020, with the eighth and final season set to debut on Sunday, February 9 at 9/8c. Season 8 was initially slated to launch last June, but Showtime, citing “[international] production demands,” bumped it to Fall 2019. The new 2020 date means that Homeland will have been off the air for nearly two years. (Showtime prez Gary Levine explains the reason for the delay here.)

The latest McU smash-hit, Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019), features one of the strangest villains in the wallcrawler’s rogues’ gallery. When it comes to movies based on comic books, the outfit a character like Mysterio wears is not supposed to work on-screen. On the printed pages of comics, the outfits can be impractical and outlandish, and nothing is more of those things than the villain’s fishbowl helmet, lavender cape fastened with giant eyes, and green, scaly tights. Still, costume designer for the film, Anna B. Sheppard, met the challenge of making a fantastic look for Jake Gyllenhaal’s villain. Instead of running away from the crazy roots of the character, she leaned into it, and embraced its otherworldly oddities.
Trailer screencap of Mysterio’s (Jake Gyllenhaal) classic ‘smoke’ helmet, as featured in Spider-Man: Far From Home.

Exclusive: Numan Acar, who appears in the upcoming Spider-Man: Far from Home, is set to play opposite Sam Worthington and Gugu Mbatha-Raw in Seacole, the Charlie Stratton-directed indie based on the true-life story of Mary Seacole.
Acar was most recently seen in Disney’s live-action Aladdin remake and is currently shooting the last season of Homeland after spending four seasons on the Showtime series.
Seacole follows Mbatha-Raw as Mary Seacole, a pioneering Jamaican nurse who became known during the Crimean War for her care of wounded British soldiers. Seacole’s self-sacrifice on the front lines and fierce, adversarial relationship with Florence Nightingale during the war made her famous in her time.
Acar will play The Pasha, a high-ranking officer in the Turkish army, a lover not a fighter who helps Mary build her hotel.
Sylvia Hoeks and Sean Delaney also co-star.
Dianne Houston and Marnie Dickens co-wrote the script with Stratton.

It looks like Spider-Man’s “Spidey Sense” is getting an amusing new nickname in Spider-Man: Far From Home. A new promo clip has been released that features Aunt May (Marissa Tomei) referring to the “sense” as “Peter Tingle.” As you might image, Peter Parker (Tom Holland) doesn’t really care for the name and is annoyed by it.
I haven’t seen the movie yet, so I don’t know if the whole “Peter Tingle” thing will be a running gag throughout the course of the film. But I can’t wait to finally get a chance to see the movie! Enjoy the promo clip below and let us know what you think about the “Spidey Tingle” nick name!

Marvel has released a new TV spot for Spider-Man: Far From Home. It offers up a bit of new footage from the film and also features Peter Parker (Tom Holland) welcoming Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal) to the Avengers team. While it would be pretty cool if Mysterio actually did turn out to be a legit hero and new member of the Avengers, I just don’t think that’s how things are going to play out.
I also shared a new poster for the film featuring Spider-Man kickin’ back listening to some music. You can check that out above. I’m just hoping for some big unexpected surprises in this movie.

So, let me begin by saying that personally I’m not much of a fan of Guy Ritchie. He isn’t a film maker I strive to watch, and I haven’t enjoyed much of what I have seen of his output, so I was concerned and a little skeptical when I first heard that Ritchie would be directing the live-action remake of Aladdin.
Aladdin, oh how I love the original animated classic. I remember going to the cinema back in 1992, a nine year-old kid with a Genie toy on his lap, and watching this magnificent, magical, beautiful film unfold on the screen. I loved it. I still do, and I go back to it every year.

"Stark made you an Avenger. The world needs people like you." Sony has debuted an official Chinese trailer for Spider-Man: Far From Home, the next Spidey sequel in theaters in just about a month. This new 60-second trailer is basically a rehash of the recent full-length trailer, with some extra bits of new footage thrown in. Tom Holland returns as Peter Parker, with Jake Gyllenhaal playing Mysterio. Parker and his friends take a summer trip over to Europe, where they get in all kinds of trouble when Nick Fury (and some other bad guys) show up to wreak havoc. This also continues the McU storyline from Homecoming, and Avengers: Endgame, with one major spoiler appearing in this trailer. The cast includes Zendaya, Marisa Tomei, Samuel Jackson, Cobie Smulders, Angourie Rice, Remy Hii, Martin Starr, Numan Acar, and Tony Revolori. Looks like Spidey kept that special suit from Endgame with all the extra appendages.

A new clip from Spider-Man: Far From Home has been released and it confirms that Mj (Zendaya) knows Peter Parker (Tom Holland) is Spider-Man. There was a clip that teased that aspect of the story in the new trailer for the film, but a lot of fans thought that Mj was just joking with Peter and that they were just going to brush it off as a joke. But, that’s obviously not the case.
In the clip, Ned (Jacob Batalon) walks into a room while Peter is suiting up in his Stealth Suit with Mj in the room and at that point he admits to Ned that Mj knows about his secret identity. Mj is quick to point out that she figured it out on her own.
Check out the brief clip below and let us know what you think about the fact that Mj knows Peter is Spider-Man.

Director Guy Ritchie says actor Will Smith is a very "generous artiste" and is always open to try out something new.
Ritchie worked with Smith on Disney's Aladdin which is a thrilling and vibrant live-action adaptation of the studio's animated classic.
Finding the right actor to play the Genie was crucial, especially after the spectacular performance by late Robin Williams. Smith will bring back the character in the new movie.
"Will is a tremendously generous artist in every sense," Ritchie said in a statement.
"A lot of my job was encouraging Will to just be Will, but he was also very open to new ideas. We would riff on different ideas and found a rhythm between us where it quickly became apparent which ideas were going to float and which ones would sink," he added.
Also starring Mena Massoud, Naomi Scott, Marwan Kenzari, Navid Negahban, Nasim Pedrad, Billy Magnussen and Numan Acar,...

Marvel has released a new poster for Spider-Man: Far From Home, and as you can see it pays homage to Iron Man’s legacy. The last trailer for the film made it very clear that Peter Parker (Tom Holland) is having a rough time dealing with Tony Stark’s sacrifice. It seems like Peter will be on the path to do everything he can to honor his friend and mentor.
Here’s the synopsis:
Peter Parker returns in Spider-Man: Far From Home, the next chapter of the Spider-Man: Homecoming series! Our friendly neighborhood Super Hero decides to join his best friends Ned, Mj, and the rest of the gang on a European vacation. However, Peter’s plan to leave super heroics behind for a few weeks are quickly scrapped when he begrudgingly agrees to help Nick Fury uncover the mystery of several elemental creature attacks, creating havoc across the continent!

Here’s a cool new clip from Disney’s upcoming live-action adaptation of Aladdin where we get to see the scene just like in the animated version of Aladdin parading into the palace to meet Jasmine as his new persona, Prince Ali.
It’s cool to see the song and dance in real life, and the best part is Will Smith as the genie singing the song “Prince Ali.” It’s larger than life, and is the most exciting clip I’ve seen so far. It showcases all of the style and finesse we were hoping Smith would bring to the film, and it really gets me more excited to see it in theatrers!
Enjoy the clip below tweeted out by IGN and check out Aladdin in theaters on May 23rd!
