Adam Groves is an Australian born actor of English, French and German decent. The son of an engineer and dressmaker, Adam grew up in the suburban heartland of Sydney. Adam played both piano and tennis in his youth, In Australia Adam studied Health Sciences, University, however a chance encounter led him to his current teacher and mentor, legendary acting coach, Annie Swann. After several years studying with Annie at the Actors laboratory in Sydney Adam made the move to NYC where he studied at HB Studio.
Whilst in NYC honing his craft Adam was invited to join the HB ensemble theater group where he performed in numerous plays including Summerfolk and The American Clock.
After his studies in New York, Adam relocated to Vancouver Canada where he found work in both Television and Film. Cast as a Scottish sea captain back from the dead in Supernatural to an Iranian photographer in the award winning film Under The Apple Box, Adams dialect ability was starting to pay off. Cast as the Malcolm McDowell "Clockwork Orange" character for a national software commercial, Adams faux underwater drug infused seated dancing earned the praise of director Marcus Nispel. . Adam was also cast in CBC televisions afternoon children's programming as Safari Man Dan. Charged with educating children on the life-cycle of animals, Adams 'Steve Irwin' homage was a hit with kids across Canada.
Adam has recently made the permanent move to Los Angeles and looks forward to the challenges and surprises that await.
