Taylah Barbeitos is an upcoming Producer based in Sydney, Australia. In 2021, she obtained a Cert IV in Screen & Media and then went on to complete her Bachelors Degree in Film & TV Production from JMC Academy in 2024. Taylah has worked on multiple short films, documentaries & in live TV in various different roles to expand her knowledge & skills in all aspects of film & TV production.
Taylah produced her first short film titled 'The Tinderbox' (2024) during her time at JMC. Since then, she has gone on to produce the short 'Canary Yellow' (2024), produced the short film 'Tape '96' (2025), executively produced another short 'The People Versus' (2024), & most notably, produced the short documentary 'Odd One Out' (2025), which is about the life & career of Adam Johansen, the Head Designer & Co-owner of the Oscar & BAFTA winning prosthetics, animatronics and creature design company, Odd Studio.
During her studies, Taylah also worked at Network Ten in Sydney as a Production Coordinator & Production Assistant for the shows Studio 10 & Ten News First. Since then, she has continued producing, but has also worked as a Production Assistant on Bruce Beresford's film 'Overture' (2025), and numerous other productions.
Taylah also has a passion for Makeup & Special Effects Makeup. As a Makeup Artist, Taylah has worked on the music video 'Loosing My Mind' (2023), the short 'The People Versus' (2024), and the short documentary 'Odd One Out' (2024). As a Special Effects Makeup Artist, Taylah has worked on 'The Tinderbox' (2024), 'Sindell's War (2023), '11:11' (2024), 'Canary Yellow' (2024), & most notably, 'Shedding' (2023), which received the award for Best Student Film at the Made in the West Film Festival in 2023.
