In 2012, Smith earned a nomination for "Best Director" and secured the coveted "Best Independent Film" accolade at the prestigious Best in Florida Awards, marking a triumphant start to his career with his debut independent masterpiece, "Bloodline: The Sibling Rivalry." His impressive journey continued as he clinched the coveted "Best Film" title at the Miami Urban Film Festival in both 2016 and 2018, for his exceptional works, "Fade Away" and "RealGoons."
